This thread has been awesome....Not only is the OP truth...but it has proven itself by some of the things that have been posted....

SEE at the end of the day we are all sinners, we fail, we stumble, we are at times weak, we accuse, we attribute motive, we judge, we all get heated and make comments, we mischaracterize............

Jesus is worthy of ALL praise....he was SINLESS, Biblically perfect and the ONLY man who walked 100% above sin....that is why God was satisfied with the travail of his soul, that is why we are healed by his stripes, that is why his sacrifice was sufficient and the Father was well pleased...

IM CONFUSED IVE READ IT i cant see the connection between sinless perfection and works..

the only ones who reject this for the most part are those who

a. Believe they can lose salvation
b. Believe they must do good to keep it
c. Believe they must blend faith, works and be sinless after salvation

Bro...do you understand English?

The OP states clearly that those who believe they are SINLESS or those who believe in sinless perfectionism generally hold to the three views listed in a-c....

Then im not sure what we've been arguing about all this time. Man is imperfect and and always will be until God gives those of us sealed in the book of life our new heavenly bodies. We will struggle and fail with doubt and unbelief, with assurance and faith until that day. Any man who says different is an urealistic deceived fool and potential Jim jones.

D

I prayed for most of the night, and have this to tell you.

I prayed to God that He allow me to be present near Christ when you appear before Him on the day of Atonement. I want to be there, for when I see you approaching, I will turn to Christ and say: "That's him Lord, I ask You to remember what You prayed to the Father when You were on the Cross........Father forgive them, for they know not what they do. This is my prayer to you Lord, please forgive him, for he knew not what he was doing."

I sincerely hope He grants me this plea.

However, until that time comes, unless you admit your sin and ask forgiveness for slandering the millions of Members of the Church of God Reformation Movement, I will neither speak to you, or even recognize your very existence. Should God open your eyes and heart to understanding your sin against millions of His children, and you do ask for forgiveness, I will gladly forgive you, and praise God!

Through prayer, I have come to believe you do not actually know the gravity of the sin you committed against so very many of His children, and that is truly a sad thing. You are a Brother in Arms, and because of that, I have always bent over backwards to give you far more grace from me for the terrible things you say about people who disagree with your ideology. Far more than I would extend to any other here.

I have no idea if the Holy Spirit will move upon you or not, but I assure you this, even if God does not grant my request, on that day of Atonement, your words will be read to you, and you will answer for them. That is what frightens me, and why I pray that I am allowed to be there to ask Christ to forgive your words against His children.

Father Lord, this is my plea to You in the name of Jesus Christ..............
Sorry my friend but the more I think about the above the more shocking it is.

Its no wonder that people are put off church with this attitude amongst fellow believers.

You come accross (maybe you didn't mean to) like the Pharisees who prayed "I thank you God that I'm not like these sinners"

You ask him to admit his sin and ask for forgiveness for slandering the millions of other members of the Church of God reformation. Firstly you speak on behalf of those millions of members. How many of them have you asked whether they have been offended or not?

I don't agree with your position but I'm not offended by it and neither would I insist on an apology on behalf of the millions of believers who disagree with you and therefore do as you seem to do in the following sentence.

You obviously do not believe in unilateral forgiveness. You demand an apology before forgiving. Till then you will disassociate yourself.

I am so glad Jesus did not have that attitude on the cross.

Finally what I find the most shocking is that you actually prayed to God to allow you to be near him on the day of atonement so you can say "That's him Lord, I ask you to remember what you prayed to the Father when you were on the cross, forgive them for they know not what they do" to be allowed to ask Christ to forgive him of his words against his children.

First things first when you stand before God you will not get a chance to talk about anyone else.
You are going to stand before the bema seat of God, when you do you will not be looking or thinking about anyone else.

God is going to ask you what you have done and built on, he is not interested on what you have to say about others.
He will judge you though for judging others.
He will also look at your forgiveness of others.
Did you love your brother, feed the poor, visit the sick, visit them in jail?

Then when he says you are a genuine believer in my son your sins are forgiven you, welcome to eternity.
You will be running so fast into it that you all make Usain Bolt look like a snail.

Your plea to Jesus should be help us get along, even though we do not agree concerning an aspect of theology let's build each other up.

Doctrinal issues that are not against the fundamentals of salvation should not be used to prove one right and the other wrong leading to questioning of their salvation.

Agreeing to disagree is ok, but taking it to the step you have I feel is wrong.

How can you lose something that hasnt been given...

Ive shown you maybe 10 or more truths that where not the finished article yet..
Ive shown you loads more scriptures that suggest that being saved is not the same as salvation..

I know you can call being saved a type of salvation but not the finished article i mean surley those who recieve salvation are the the finished article witht he prize of a new body.

Or are you saying something else like you know your the done deal right now.. i mean isnt that sinless perfection like attitude ? or would you even say it could be ?.. its verry hard to get a straight answer of you sometimes..

The closer we get to God and stick by Him, the less sin will be a temptation. That is what resist the devil and he will flee, not because he's scared, because he will realize he is wasting his time. Sin is kind of like a monkey that hangs out on our shoulder. When we come to Jesus that monkey gets put in cage, but always trying to get out. Its always so subtle like a dogs droopy eyes when it wants treats.

Then sometimes the monkey gets out, and we hurry to get him back in(repent), and wipe sweat off brow. Then that monkey has been working out in cage doing pushups, swinging off bars, running around cage, getting stronger, each time the monkey will get stronger and harder to get back in cage, if we make like letting it out, is ok because it gave the droopy eyes.

Please, i'm not saying i don't sin. As a matter of fact i repent everyday, in my mind. Some think something is a sin while another does not think its a sin. Jesus said a thought can be a sin so thats how far i take it. Just my thoughts.

Numerous scriptures prove that salvation, eternal life and son ship are a current possession...I will not argue this point with you..

Other members have shown you that it is a current possession....

The only thing lacking is the glorified body....the bible states....RIGHT NOW ARE We THE SONS OF GOD......

BY GRACE ARE YOU SAVED THROUGH FAITH<---not BEING SAVED

HE THAT BELIEVETH ON THE SON HAS/HATH EVERLASTING LIFE<--not WILL have

SO.....keep believing you are not saved.....I will keep believing the word that I AM SAVED and even verb TENSE proves it is a current possession......geesh......!

People around here seem to have the idea that God can be "caught". The idea that an infinite all powerful God can be fully understood by a finite human mind. What kind of a God would that be anyway? We may be running a race but we are also training for an eternity.

AMEN....I compared us to an ant the other day.....or an amoeba in a dish under a microscope with God looking down at us....how can the finite understand the infinite.....impossible unless the infinite gives understanding to the finite...

God is not in a box for sure.....

there are things in the natural world that can be used as metaphors for our spiritual journey. Jesus used them. One that I like is the greyhound racing dog. If he catches the rabbit he will never race again. He becomes someone's pet or is destroyed. His usefulness as a racing dog is over rover.

Shame we put him in a box, our own little box.

I often wonder when I stand before God and he reveals all things about who he is.
Putting it in a polite way (and not the way I sometimes express it in my own mind)

I will think "Gosh I never thought about things that way, I can't believe I didn't get it"
