I've never had a christian girlfriend before. I dont know what a relationship is without sex but im willing to try and do things the right way.

Even if I never find a gf who loves Jesus I think it'd be great to have a christian friend who's a girl. Any takers? :p lol

Thats a really odd statement to me : p

Like, I dont at all in any way see the two being one. I mean like, physical relations is merely a biological function. I mean yeah theres a right way and a wrong way to do it, of course I am well aware of that : p But other than that it is just a biological function. I never understand why anyone considers this to be "love" or "what a relationship is about" or any of that.
I mean, you could do it with anyone. Or even with no one at all.

Im not trying to pick on anyone here, I just never understand why people put these two things together : p
I dont think of physical relations when I think of having an intimate relationship. The first thing that comes to my mind is like.... gotta think of a way to word my thoughts here..... like, a deep and personal best friend. Someone that you invite to learn everything about you, and are willing to learn everything about them, like someone you share everything with, and want to spend every day with. I dont believe physical relations are a must in order to have this.
Maybe Im alone in that way of thinking though : p

You don't sound as if you get out much. Ever thought of going to church?
Maybe you will find a Christian girl friend there, although if she is a true born again
Christian, she will not want a boyfriend who is not a true Christian.

Sounds like you are putting religion before God (or sex before love).

Well I wanted to find something encouraging to post here, because it takes a lot of guts to just stand up and say I've only known how to do things wrong, but I'd like to learn to do things right. I don't know too much about your history, but I imagine that God is proud of you for wanting to do things his way.

The caution I would have is that getting a girlfriend with the label christian is kind of like buying stuff with a brand name label in southeast Asia; you really don't know if what you are getting is the genuine article or just a cheap imitation. Please don't set yourself up for failure or disappointment by thinking that just because a girl is christian she is ultra pure and never suffers from sexual temptation.

As far as making friends, I recall CS Lewis saying that there has to be something for the friendship to be about. Right now about the only thing most of the Christian gals around here know they have in common with you is that they've never dated a Christian girl either. So keep posting and letting us get to know you, and you'll probably make some friends in the natural order of things. Around here we like to talk about food, God, life, and books in about that order so feel free to join in.

And computers. And music. I could talk for solid days at a time about music.
 
Continue to build a relationship with God and He will direct your path. I believe you are on the right path at the moment as you are wanting to do things the right way which is a good start.

I met my husband on this site and I know there are a lot of nice ladies also on the site. Keep posting and show your personality and let everyone get to know you. God bless as you seek friends.

I think sex with someone you love and respect is the epitome of human experience here on earth. Only thing better would be worship.
 
Well I met the love of my life here by just chatting and discussing things around the forums, i wasn't looking for love i was looking to become closer to God. If you seek after him with all your heart and put him before anything else then he will give you all other things. but being friends with girls is no better than being friends with guys unless of course your intent is to hope that this friend that is a girl might become a possible girlfriend but that is not a good reason to be friends.

Also just to help you out for future references if you ask if there are any takers you put off a creepy vibe, just talk with others and let them get to know and get to them and trust me making friends will be all to easy girls or guys my friends list is so long that I can't keep up with up with it. Trust me just have fun around the forums my friend:)

Well up to know it seems you have been fine with sex before marriage
and you have also been fine with dating none Christians, which is a bit
of a dichotomy for a born again Christian.

If you want to turn things around then good for you.
I can only assume you don't currently go to a church, for you to
have no Christian friends?

It sounds like you really need to take stock of your life and decide
if you want to be serious for God or not, you can't call yourself a
Christian and live life however you want to gratify your own desires.

If you want change, now is as good a time as any, maybe put the girlfriends
on the back burner for a while and get to know God.
 
Maybe, maybe not, I don't know anything about you other than what you
have posted previously. Which is that you had a big drugs problem and a homosexual
encounter due to drugs.

Now you say all your relationships have led to sex and suggest none of
your relationships have been with Christian girls. Which actually is a good thing for
their sake. Young women tend to be far more vulnerable than young men, they
are the ones usually left holding the baby.

If you want to get serious for God (and that is commendable by the way, if you do).
Then again, I would repeat, put aside the relationships for a while and concentrate
on your relationship with God. You might regret things that have happened so far in
your life but you will never regret drawing close to God, turn your life over to Him
and allow God to transform you. It's the best thing you can do for yourself.

Who knows you might even find God does have big plans for you, but He won't trust
you with a Godly woman unless you yourself can be a fit and worthy husband.
If you truely want to marry a Christian, then you owe it to your future
wife to be a godly man, a man of honour, one who is trustworthy and one who
is full of the Holy Spirit who is capable of leading a Godly household.

Find yourself a good bible believing church, get involved, go to the men's groups.
Find good role models, men you can relate and chat to. Honest it's far better to
grow as a person now in Christ and become who God intended you to be. Rather
than go it alone jumping from one failed relationship to another for the sex and
kidding yourself along the way that you know God.

Im not saying this to be critical. We all need to be challanged at times, so I'm
challenging you to really get to know God in a way you have never known him
before.

We aren't put on earth for the 'human experience', which is often a secular way of saying 'do what I want'. We are put here for a relationship with God and something that transcends the 'human experience. Humans are, by nature, sinful. We do wrong. To chase after a human experience is to chase after sin, if you think about it.
And yes, sex can be wonderful with a person you love. But God, who created sex and humans, gave very clear limitations to when that is not a sin. Just because you enjoy it does not make it right. Humanity doesn't dictate morality to God because of how we feel. Right is right and that is determined by God and how we feel or what we think has nothing to do with that truth.

God gives gifts to men. One gift is sex through a loving, marital relationship.
 
Absolem, I think being honest about not being sure what a relationship without sex is like is the best approach. It is different when you are dating someone with Christian beliefs but, if you are with the right person, she will be able to help you figure out how to have a meaningful and special relationship without sex. You can spend time doing things that you are both interested in, learn new hobbies together, try cooking or painting classes - focus on just having fun and don't worry about it being different from your past relationships. :)
 
I'm not looking for a boyfriend but always looking for friendship. Every chat room o have seen always want to ask for pictures or want to talk about sex. Hope your not one of them
