Easter is a commonly celebrated and debated holiday. Easter is also linked to passover a Jewish holy day referring to the symbolism of passing from death to life.It is said Jesus rose from the grave on easter Sunday also many debate on whether it was saturday or sunday.
Generally Easter is to celebrating Jesus rising from the dead however for most people while they may this in the back of their minds it's really about all the normal easter customs. The bunny is the main symbolism of easter and some say this is because in Genesis 1: 28 it states God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground. saying that since Jesus was the second adam then from his spiritual seed many of his children will be fruitful and multiply just like how a Rabbit has many many children.
This is of course mere speculation and can appear to have a little biblical background to it however it is only speculation it was never proven to be biblically true. Studies have shown that Easter does have many many biblical references but studies have also shown that it also has just as many pagan references as well.
Some people greatly discourage celebrating it even going so far as to condemn others for celebrating it others celebrate it in their own way apart from the regular customs having nothing to do with bunnies or easter eggs but rather spending time with family and even doing bible studies and pondering the meaning of rising from the grave both in their own lives and in Jesus's other people simply have fun eat lunch and let the kids open their egg baskets.
Easter can be many things and can mean many things to many people, depending on what you believe and what you perceive things to be it can be a joyous occasion or a very dull and gloomy one. But regardless of what it is to you my statement to all who are reading this is to be fruitful and multiply and continue to make many many more children of God, remembering the symbolism of you once were dead and now you are alive sow the spiritual seed that was sown in you and giving the life that brought Jesus back from the grave which he then passed on to you so that you may also pass this life on to those who are still in the grave.
