Greetings,
A brief intro, I am a 36 year old man. I work in Tech. I was raised in a non-practicing Catholic family in Maryland. Occasional Church, never went through confirmation.

So my life is much as it always has been, Religion has always been a "back burner" thought so to speak.

The nature of my life and work keep me extremely busy with little time for other concerns. But that free time I do have I want to experiment with.

What I am looking for is a Christian Lady to help me with an idea. This is not any kind of search for a partner or girlfriend or romantic relationship or anything of the sort.

The idea behind my experiment is to experience communications and the internet (something as a tech I've had immense access too) in a more... focused way. My entire life I've been left to my own devices with technology. Never had the benefit of being pointed in proper directions. My thought is to give content control of my technology access to a Christian Lady whom can set the access rules and limitations and would like to steer how I spend my computer and phone free time. A Windows 10 Surface Laptop an Android Phone.

The goal is to see the world in my free time as set by the determination of another. Being given access to content approved and directed to sites and approved apps for study. Too have actual limitations in order to bring into focus things I've long ignored and eliminate other items either not approved of or that would be considered a distraction. I'm thinking to do this for perhaps month at least (can be determined by other).

The reason I ask for a Lady for this idea is simply that I'm more comfortable and trusting in giving a woman this kind of thing. Not as a surrender but more as an acceptance of guidance. I believe I'm far more likely to get something substantial from it with female guidance and not fight it.

My work life has its own devices so the ones being given control of are personal use only. Work tech is only for work and is as such already limited to that. So whomever might help with is idea will get to set all the parameters however she sees fit. Website access filters, time allowances, ect... I will obtain whatever software is required or preferred and hand over the access. This can be online only, no contact offline is required by me as everything within this idea can be accomplished online.

The main goal of all of this. Is too take a step into seeing what its like to have boundaries in a world where I have never had any. Christian boundaries as to perhaps develop a more humble nature about things in general.

Thanks for reading :) Its an idea. Perhaps a good one, perhaps not.

Seems to me that you are just interested in pursuing an online relationship. I'm not really sure about all the other stuff that you mentioned. Based on your post I don't believe that you are going to find a Christian (single?) woman to become part of your experiment whatever it may be. Regardless, glad to have you join us. Welcome to CC.

@Tourist Thank you for the feedback. I am not looking for a relationship. Just someone to be an administrator or sorts. With a purpose of directing content toward a religious focus. Does not have to be a single because it is not a romantic thing I seek or anything out of bounds or dirty. Just Guided tech usage.

well... It hasn't worked to date, I'm a good bit OCD/ADHD, So I'm trying to work with that and this is just one idea I've come up with. It might be a bit strange, I've never had focused limitations with tech. Being what I do for a living, there are no limits for me in that world. So its something I feel I want to experience and perhaps humble my "God Complex" with the digital world a bit and with the same stone focus on a missing factor of my life. Strange perhaps... but it makes sense from my perspective.

If this is not about a relationship, why must it be a woman?

I think there are apps that can do that for you, that once they are set up cannot easily be undone, though I am not sure

Wow... Thank you for re-affirming why I keep religion back burner. Judgmental and insulting, that's been my church experience through life.

It wasn't insulting at all, nor judgemental. I just know many of the women here pretty well, so I know that they won't help you. And you do have to admit that your request IS a little bizarre-sounding to us. :)

As apps go, I've looked, quite deeply. They never do what they claim, 90% are scams.
As to why a woman? Its simple comfort and knowing myself well enough to know I'm hostile with other men. I do not easily accept boundaries from mortal men without a fight. Instinct of competition and rivalry perhaps and a strong Alpha sense. But I'm not that way with women, I listen and can communicate very easily with no sense of having to be constantly on guard.

Um... If you want to experience Christian boundaries it might be a good idea to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and become a Christian yourself!

Then all ya gotta do is read the instruction manual, let the Holy Spirit guide you, and have fellowship with men AND women.

Welcome!

Ok

Question though: If these software thingies don't help, how will another person "control" you?
(I have a very vivid imagination:) Will they follow you around? Otherwise you will still need to use the software.

I would keep religion on the back burner too and just give your life to Christ for dying for your sins and take it from there. You did ask for feedback for your idea. Lady Blue was not insulting you but just offering her perspective on your proposition. I did not find her reply the least bit judgmental and insulting.

The software that does work requires someone to manage it. There are some automated services but they are total garbage. No one cares as long as you pay the bill.

sorry, I found "nutty idea" to be just that. Different, strange, bizzare, unique... sure... but "nutty" implies something altogether different.

I think I see the disconnect. My intention was to use one of the Managed apps. i.e netnanny or qustodio to something too that effect and hand over the management. Not have someone follow me around lol. That would be pretty batty. Maybe in my OP I didn't clarify my idea well enough

Sounds like one and the same to me, however you wrote a very interesting OP. Perhaps you could design a program that will issue innocuous tasks for you to perform and you could document your findings in a journal for future reference.

Ah. I haven't got a clue how those things work, and to be honest it'd feel a bit stalker- ish if I was to control someone else's access
