Some how I lost my avatar which is still displayed on my profile page, but an American flag shows up on the forum instead.
I upload a new avatar and it says 'Upload of file failed".
What's going on?
Nothing has changed on my end.
Can someone help me?
It seems I always need help.
I'm needy.

I can see your avatar... though it appears to be a new one :)
The member photo and avatar are two separate images :D

Here is my member picture:

Nobody would see it unless they went to my profile page :)

I can see your avatar. It's some guy in a silly white hat... doesn't look like you, though

See, that's the problem.
I don't look like an American Flag either.
And I notice that you are now an American flag too.
Are we related?

Flag = Nationality

Avatar = Picture below flag

Profile pic = Picture shown on profile page

Are we being observed by an alien race?
Who do they think they are.
Hey aliens, I'm Irish.
Let's go to the local pub and have a couple and then have it out.
I'll show you what Irish men are made out of.

Oh, you can't see any avatars, huh?

Well, month by month I lose a little bit more of this forum. (Can't post pictures at all), so I guess it is just dissolving over time. Might be a virus?

Hmmm, it's the nothingness (or whatever it is called in English)! from the Neverending story

What does that mean?
It means the image that is displayed on the boards every time you post is different than the one you have as your member picture, unless you have the same image selected for both :)

This is what I see as your avatar:

It may be a browser problem; clear your cache :D Defragging occasionally may help, and deleting temporary internet files etc... regular computer maintenance... what electronic device are you using?

How many times a week must I do this?
It's getting tiring.

Yes, but shouldn't my avatar be displayed beneath my name when I post?
I don't see it there?

You can set up your device to do it while you sleep, so that the maintenance required to keep your device running as best as possible does not interfere with your using time! It needs to be done on a regular basis, like taking out the garbage and changing the oil :D

I was a tad younger in those days.
Hate to say it, but I think I've caught up with you Willie.

You and me, we were the best lookers in Florida at one time.
I don't think we can say that any more.

Is it just an empty space, or do you see a small red X in a box?

Doing something as simple as restarting your browser may fix the problem. Try it :)
