They have attempted to abuse text to claim that Muhammad was foretold, yet that is what the Mormons do about Joseph Smith. If anything, they are spoken about in the passages about false prophets and false teachers.

Neither Islam nor the Roman Catholic church is mentioned explicitly. Some "scholars" are able to weave scripture together to make their case for the whore mentioned in Revelation to be the RCC, and it's an exercise that requires a great deal of mental gymnastics to pull off. Others, and the name that springs to mind right away is Walid Shoebat, makes a case that Islam is the one mentioned in Revelation, and even makes the case that the symbol for Islam is what was on the early scrolls, and hence the Muslims that wear the bandana and arm band of "In the name of Allah" are wearing the literal "mark of the beast". Again...lots of mental gymnastics. Still, somewhat thought-provoking and interesting to read about and listen to.

I believe Islam was absolutely mentioned in the Bible. According to the Bible the nations that surround Israel will gather together to destroy it. The antichrist will be a religious man, and not an atheist. He will honor a single god, and he will make war for it.
Daniel 11-
37 He will show no regard for the gods of his ancestors or for the one desired by women, nor will he regard any god, but will exalt himself above them all. 38 Instead of them, he will honor a god of fortresses; a god unknown to his ancestors he will honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts. 39 He will attack the mightiest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over many people and will distribute the land at a price.
According to 1 John 2:22, the antichrist denies the Father and the Son. Alot of people will say "that could be anyone", as only Christians believe in the Father and the Son, but really think about the context of that. Its not saying that the antichrist will not believe in it, but that they will deny it. He will say that "God has no Son". Keep in mind Daniel said that he honors a god, not gods.
Quran 4:171-
"O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs."
Keep in mind, according to that verse in 1 John 2:22, the antichrist will not be a Catholic. Catholics believe in the Father and the Son.
The antichrist will also not be a Jew. Both Zechariah 12 and Romans 11 tell us that on the last day, the Jews will accept Him. The Jews denying Jesus was always meant to happen, it is Gods will that they do not accept Jesus. The fact that they deny Him does not make them Gods enemy.
There are many verses in the OT about the coming antichrist, and many of them refer to him as a middle eastern man. The king of babylon, the assyrian, the chief prince of meshch and tabul.
And I definitely believe that the prophecy of "the whore of babylon" is referring to Mecca. Edom is modern day Saudi Arabia. And Jeremiah 49 tells us that the Lord will destroy Edom entirely, that no one will live there again-
7 Concerning Edom:
This is what the Lord Almighty says:
“Is there no longer wisdom in Teman?
Has counsel perished from the prudent?
Has their wisdom decayed?
8 Turn and flee, hide in deep caves,
you who live in Dedan,
for I will bring disaster on Esau

If thieves came during the night,

And lastly, Islam commands violence against the Jews. Muhammad himself was recorded in the hadiths as saying- "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.".
Everytime I see a site that tries to disprove the teachings that Islam is where we should be looking, I always see comments such as "thats where the Catholics want you to look at". But the Catholic church isnt the antichrist. The antichrist worships a different god than God and denies the Son. We know that the Catholic church teaches unbliblical things, such as the worship of Mary. But that doesnt make it the antichrist.

The Prophet said: Three things are the roots of faith: to refrain from (killing) a person who utters, "There is no god but Allah" and not to declare him unbeliever whatever sin he commits, and not to excommunicate him from Islam for his any action; and jihad will be performed continuously since the day Allah sent me as a prophet until the day the last member of my community will fight with the Dajjal (Antichrist). A very interesting clue is also found in Daniel....HE WILL scrutinize, recognize, honor and increase a god that HIS FATHER"S KNEW NOT..........JUST think ABRAHAM would be considered the FATHER of the Arabs and Muslims.......

Islam absolutely puts Muslims at the very top of all mankind. I can definitely see an Islamic antichrist telling his followers that they are the greatest of people, and the Christians and Jews are the lowest of creatures, which would be a direct quote from Muhammad himself : p
This is the oldest 'potential' reference to the ancestors of Islam. There are a few clues in this passage that I came across a while back. The Midianites were Ismaelites (Ismael = eventual Islamic lineage). The "Star and Crescent" is used today as the logo for Islam. Don't necessarily quote me on the below. I just found these few coincidences in my bible study. Feel free to research further.
