And again, I will say, I did not want Jesus to do my work, I had no choice in the matter, If Jesus did not do ther cross. I would be left condemned forever.

I know for sure, that I can't do anything under MY own strength. Nearly my entire life, I've relied on God and HIS strength to get me through. Especially these last 3 years, when I had a herniated disk and sciatica in my leg. Living alone with no one to help me do stuff. I'm sure I looked comical trying to hop out of bed with agonizing sciatica rendering me useless. Each time I had to get out of bed I'd say "Lord, please help me out of bed. I can't do this myself." I had to depend on His strength for everything then: taking a shower, getting dressed, getting out of bed and to the toilet before I peed myself or the bed, lol.. Going shopping, getting my mail, taking out trash and doing laundry.
I asked for His strength to do all of those things and get me back home before I collapsed. And He always granted it to me.
So, the next time someone tells you that you don't have true faith or reliance on God, tell them to come live in my body for a few days. They'll learn the meaning of true faith and reliance on God, real darn fast.. lol

and people wonder why i have this person on ignore. and have not responded to hardly anything he has said the last few weeks (how peaceful it has been by the way)
Everyone who has read me on this chat room has known my belief has been the same as long as I have been here. My gospel has been the same since day one (I have changed my view on a few doctrinal things thanks to people willing to discuss these things, but not my gospel) yet here we have one of th emost slanderous beings I have ever met, again lieing in order to save his own skin.

There is nothing wrong with what I wrote. And I finished having coffee a few minutes ago. Works DO NOT get us into heaven, Fran. I honestly don't know why you can't understand that. GRACE THROUGH FAITH AND BELIEF in Christ is what saves us..not doing a gazillion good works. I think YOU need some coffee.

So, let's see. Using the English language correctly, what you're saying is this...:
Even IF YOU WERE SAVED, you COULDN'T GET INTO HEAVEN even if you did 1,000 good works a day.
So...
1. Being saved will NOT GET YOU INTO HEAVEN.
2. Even if you were saved, you wouldn't have to do good works.

The part in red. How do you come to the conclusion that if Jesus had NOT died, we wouldn't be condemned forever? It's because He DID die, that we are no longer condemned. After all, He died to save us from condemnation (our sins), right? That's what MY bible tells me. As far as how people in the OT got saved, I'm pretty sure that Jesus saved them just as He saved us. They had faith, therefore they were saved.. Were they all condemned? YES, until they got saved from their sins.. JMO
