What happens in some minds is this :
They come to these "conclusions" about people and what they are saying from their own construct in their mind.
They then take something someone says - and "construct" what they think the other person is saying and then make a whole new meaning out of it. Then, this thought seizes their mind until "it becomes real" to them in their own thinking.
They then attack this "made up thought" as if it is real.
They then feel it is ok to call these other believers every name that is possible from being satanic, to liars, to lovers of sin, hypocrites, delusional, insult their intelligence.
This is the reason I try to limit my interaction with them and don't engage them because nothing but strife and division comes from it.
Believe me - it makes it a lot more peaceable here in CC,
Oh, I know they are still in their malice and slandering by saying things but - that's ok. Just bless them and leave them in the hands of the Lord.

You know how false this statement is.....if this is true why the following...MAN HAS NO NATURAL ABILITY to EVEN KNOW the word much less follow it.
THE natural man RECEIVES not the things of GOD, neither can he KNOW them for they are SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED
THERE are NONE that seek after GOD
a. God setting in motion the reconciliation of man before he even cast down the world
b. The giving of the law<--for the lawless
c. The coming judgment of the lost<--who do not obey
d. The punishments afforded under the law for the law breakers
e. the scriptures such as...There is not a just an upon the earth that does good and sins not
etc.........
Actually, the bible speaks to the exact opposite of your man made religious rule........

These guys know Gods word. If it is shown they are wrong, we are just twisting
the word, if there interpretation is shown as just that and there are other interpretations
that is just evil blindness.
Emotionally they are shut down and locked out, they have long histories being legalists
and sincere followers of their version of faith, which they now reject.

The law is the guardian of heaven, and they literally hate this. But then they
will not be allowed access, because they do not believe they can ever be washed
clean by the blood of the lamb to be acceptable in Gods sight, a sorry reality but
true enough.
So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.

Sadly, it is an ongoing thing, Every time someone tries to exhort him, this is what happens. Because he sees the exhortation as an attack.
He needs to read 1 Sam 25 and restudy the story of David, Nabal and Abigail. And how sometimes when we are angry we need to have someone exhort us like Abigail did David, Except we need to react like David did, not the way peter is doing.

When you do not think the cross is enough, And you have to work hard to maintain your salvation, you have to convince yourself you live to some level where you are not like the sinners. and are holy and righteous.
That is where those thoughts and those ideas come from. I know. I live them.. It is not a happy place. and it is why we get so angry (or I did anyway) when people came to us and tried to help us..

There is an irony about faith. You can read in what your heart desires into it all.
God provides the facts and direction, but your heart charts the compromises.
And each one will be happy with their compromise.
I see so often people reading things in, which you can invent exist if you are so
inclined. It is why making things more complicated is dangerous and excusing
anything within ones own heart is always something that leads to sin.
It is why I was so surprised by the sermon on the mount dismissal.
This is the beauty of the gospel and Jesus's heart. And it takes a lifetime
to unravel, and delve into its depths.
Another gold mine in John 15-17. So much relationship perspectives between
Christ and the Father. What beauty and truth.
I know the spirit of my enemy, and I dismiss it as irrelevant. They are lost in their
own failures and appeasement, there is nothing of value there. A broken cistern I will

I love that song. The Lord used that song to speak to me while He taught me the gospel of the grace of God in Christ - even before I heard anyone else preach about it.
He would wake me up every morning with a new scripture in my spirit. I would then look that up and meditate on it. It was like getting born-again - again. It has remained like that now since that first morning.
The first thing that came into my spirit and mind that first morning was "He is mighty to save". Then later on that song came to me and I listened to it and felt the love and grace of God in such a deep way. Total acceptance of Him is what I knew to be true because of Christ's work.

I found the best way to stop rumors and contention is to go to the source of whom the rumor is about and ask them what they said instead of hearing it through bias filters.
I have heard Peter proclaim the salvation is by faith in what Jesus had done upon the cross...,whether he believes you must have good works to stay saved?
Probably he does.
However for me the foundation in Christ is most important because the Holy Spirit can then lead the person to His truth and light.
Anyway.
