Why do you hate Muslims? (Yes, I'm aware this only applies to some people on here.)

Meh...I don't have time to hate. I've read the Qu'ran and I've seen the verses that talk about killing unbelievers. I've also seen a lot of that same type of stuff in the Hadith. The stuff going on today is certainly worrisome for the people who are directly impacted by it. I'm not impacted by it, so all I can do is follow the news and see how things pan out. Getting mad and choosing to hate isn't going to do any good for me.

A lot of the posts mention how Islam supports killing Christians; I haven't read the Quran, but from what I can tell from sites written by Islam, the Quran merely says to fight against those who attack them.

Quran 4:74 - "Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward."

Quran 8:12 - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"

Quran 8:15 - "O ye who believe! When ye meet those who disbelieve in battle, turn not your backs to them. (16)Whoso on that day turneth his back to them, unless maneuvering for battle or intent to join a company, he truly hath incurred wrath from Allah, and his habitation will be hell, a hapless journey's end."

Quran 8:65 - "O Prophet, exhort the believers to fight"

Quran 9:20- "Those who believe, and have left their homes and striven with their wealth and their lives in Allah's way are of much greater worth in Allah's sight. These are they who are triumphant."

Quran 9:29 - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued." (People of the book = Christians and Jews)

Quran 9:38-39 - "O ye who believe! what is the matter with you, that, when ye are asked to go forth in the cause of Allah, ye cling heavily to the earth? Do ye prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the Hereafter. Unless ye go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place."

Quran 9:41 - "Go forth, light-armed and heavy-armed, and strive with your wealth and your lives in the way of Allah! That is best for you if ye but knew."
Quran 9:73 - "O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be unyielding to them; and their abode is hell, and evil is the destination."

Quran 9:88 - "But the Messenger, and those who believe with him, strive and fight with their wealth and their persons: for them are (all) good things: and it is they who will prosper."

Quran 9:111 - "Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Quran: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme."

Quran 9:123- "O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness."

Quran 2:216 - "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not."

Ive heard people say that Christianitys forbids fornication, but I know many Christians who practice fornication?!?!
Therefore, Christianity cannot forbid fornication, because if it did, every Christian would clearly follow this rule.

Instead of asking why people "hate" muslims, ask yourself why cant people criticize an ideology without being called hateful?
Beliefs are not people. And Islam is absolutely awful and evil. And if we cannot criticize Islam without being called hateful, how do we warn muslims that without Christ, they cannot be saved?

I worked for nearly ten years for the Police in a part of London where the majority of the population were Bangladeshi Muslims. A number of my colleagues were Muslim. Religion hardly ever came up as a topic and I treated them the same as anyone else in the team I worked with. In Britain as a whole the older generation of Muslims came here from Uganda where they faced persecution from Idi Amin. Many came from the business sector of that country and left with hardly anything. They started here from scratch and bought or rented shops. Most of our small grocer shops in London are run by Muslims they work hard and long hours which to be honest English people are not often prepared to do.

There are extremists in all religions and faiths and Christianity has had its fair share. You need only to read about the Crusades or the Holocaust to see that. Even Buddhists who are considered to be the most peaceful of people have been known to use violence against other religious communities.

So, I've read a lot of extremely hateful posts about Muslims on here (and if it's not hatred, then they're doing a really good job of disguising it). Not about Islamic terrorists. About Muslims in general. I get not agreeing with their religion; we should never condone a religion that goes against what God has set forth. But I simply don't see the level of hatred directed at Jews or Buddhists as I do towards Muslims. I've also had people say that you never hear about Christian terrorists, only Islamic ones, but that's simply not true. We might not call them Christian terrorists, but whenever someone claiming to be a Christian attacks someone because they're gay or not a Christian, that's terrorism. Might not happen as much anymore, but when it does we point out that that goes against God's word and say the terrorists aren't Christian. Likewise, many Muslims say that Islamic terrorists aren't true Muslims.

So why do some people on here hate Muslims (again, I'm not talking about Islamic terrorists; while Christians shouldn't hate anyone, I get angry at murders, too. I'm talking about Muslims who aren't terrorists)?

I don't hate muslims. I personally love the sinner, hate the sin.

There are a lot of muslims out there who are good people with morals. But there are also a TON of bad people who are muslims who take their Koran very seriously to commit horrific acts. I do not hate muslims, I hate islam, there is a difference. Muslims are followers of islam, and islam is a satanic religion. But the followers are still people, like not every single muslim is a bad person. Not every single muslim commit these horrific acts that most islamic people do. I just pray that they get rid of their faith and turn to God.

Some of the nicest, hardest-working people I've known here in the US were muslim. I worked for a company that was was bought by an iranian family who was muslim and they were about the nicest people I ever worked for, and were just nice people in general. They were very generous and thoughtful too. I might still be working for them if the man who owned the company and was my boss hadn't suddenly passed away..

A lot of muslims probably don't even know whats in the koran, or don't really take it to heart.. just like a lot of christians who don't read the bible or don't try to put things into practice.

The ones that I don't like are the terrorists. Not because they are muslim, but because of what they're doing.

I have read some verses of the koran and know about the parts that say to kill all infidels. The infidels are anyone who isn't muslim, who doesn't worship allah. That is what ISIS is about and they believe their interpretation of the koran is the only true interpretation, so other muslim groups are considered infidels to them.

I think the religion itself is based on the twisted desires of the man who started it (muhammed) and claims to have gotten all his info from the angel Gabriel. I think the reason its so popular is because it gives men complete power over women and allows for multiple wives who need be nothing more than unpaid slaves to them. Also, it allows murder for the sake of 'honor'. And there is no need to forgive or even treat people fairly.

I dont believe that we cannot be friends with them, in fact Id encourage being friends with them if they arent mocking God or doing terrible things : p Many Muslims dont even actually know about these teachings in Islam, and only really know what their Imams teach them. Its just like Christianity, look at how many Christians practice things like fornication, not knowing that its entirely forbidden. And even if they do know these verses, alot of times many will take up the belief that it only refers to "self denfence" as they are told they do, despite the clear commands to fight and kill unbelievers until they declare there is no god but allah and muhammad is his messenger, until every single Muslim is fighting against the Jews and the dajjal.

Theres a well known Christian apologist who was a former Muslim until another Christian helped him see how Muhammad was both a false prophet, as well as a terrible human being. His name is Nabeel Qureshi.

(And the terrible, HATEFUL Christian who helped him come out from Islam is the evil and despicable David Wood, who clearly hates Muslims more than any human being ever, haha)

Yup, I make that point all the time. There are far too many Christians who confuse "love your neighbor" with "always get along and never say anything that could upset anyone".

This thread isnt really about people who "hate" Muslims, its from people who confuse criticizing an evil ideology and a false prophet with hate : p I havent met one freaking person on this site who actually said "hey guys lets hate Muslims", the closest Ive seen to that are people who think that we need to actively fight against Islamic terrorism, which I dont really agree with : p

The best way to fight against such teachings is to be informed and actually know what Islam teaches. And yep, Muslims wont like that you do it.

Some people just have a mind set, they hate almost out of habit, or to go along with the crowd
mentality. Others may hate due to bad experiences. Some people just hate because they are raised
to do so. Some hate and they don't even know why.

I am glad that you can make out the difference between loving someone but wanting them to turn away from evil teachings : p

Muslims are just like the rest of us once were, confused on what is true and deceived away from the Lord. That is just another reason to show how Muhammad was not the ideal man and a perfect example to follow. He was most certainly not from God.

Also, Islam tells its followers that Jesus WAS NOT the Son of God and DID NOT die for our sins. That makes Muhammad a false prophet, and anyone that follows his teachings will suffer the same fate as him. I believe it is our duty to help Muslims see how Islam is evil and wrong.

Walid Shoebat once said that it is a Christians duty to do this. He said that a loving Christian should help a Muslim see how Islam is wrong. If I were falling into a pit, and you did nothing to help me, I am going to blame YOU for letting me fall into the pit.
