Amen!!! My Brother, how I would love to see a single lead pastor that would submit to the words of the ones they have placed under themselves, it's a mixed up. I don't like the idea of a presbytery of elder that hire a pastor and treat him like an employee, I don't think that's Biblical either.

​Interesting that you view it like this, because that would mean that there was a women pastor in Cenchrea, Romans 16:1 "I commend to you Phoebe our sister, who is a servant of the church in Cenchrea,"

The word for "servant" here in the Strong's

"1248. diakonia dee-ak-on-ee'-ah from 1249; attendance (as a servant, etc.); figuratively (eleemosynary) aid, (official) service (especially of the Christian teacher, or technically of the diaconate):--(ad-)minister(-ing, -tration, -try), office, relief, service(-ing).."

So we have a women, that is a teacher in the NT, in a church and Paul is praising her formally, who is a teacher of the church in Cenchrea. How can that be if women are not supposed to teach in the church?

Do you think there are others in the church that need to be quipped for the work ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, that are not men? Yes there are. Are all saints men? No they are not.

Why are we so legalistic when we only use the KJV, I remember those days, that the KJV was the Bible for me. If it was good enough for the apostle Paul, it was good enough for me!

The Scriptures do NO such thing, you've ripped 2 Scriptures out of context (1Cor 14v34,35, 1Tim 2v11,12), which is that of domestic relationships, NOT spiritual/church/ministry practices!

Hi, a "male chauvinist" here.

Can you explain to me, why do you think that the order of the family should be different from the order in the church?

In practice, a female pastor would be subjected to her husband the exact minute they would left out the church building (because she cannot teach her husband) but the minute they got inside, now she is his authority and can teach and lead him?

Go and study the Scriptures on this subject as it's plain you haven't bothered your ****!

It's attitudes like that in men (and women) that strangle godly women with God given ministeries from being a blessing to not only the world but the Church as well.

You should be totally and absolutely ashamed off yourself!

The Senior Teaching Elder is the shot caller, but he's the teacher and calls the shots on what he's teaching, just as long as it's the same verses the other churches across the country are also teaching.

Church business? Easy stuff is decided between the different elders. The more complicated (like needing an a/c in the building), is decided at the month presbytery. (Group of local churches connected together.) The denominational issues are decided at the national level, and the head senior teaching elder can talk, but can't vote.
