Amen.

Sometimes it takes years and learning a cultural language.
sometimes it takes years to unlearn it.. Especially when it comes to religious language.

Blow me down. g7 is saying as believers we are born again with a pure heart,
without lusts of the flesh.

So the pornography problem with believers is actually because they are not believers.

That mucks up ones view of faith and transformation.

I notice how the argument goes from we are terrible sinners who can never attain to
purity of heart to we have pure hearts from day 1.

When you anchor belief in the word and ones experience, you come close to what is truth.
It stops this massive flipping of arguments depending on the audience. It is why I call this
type of approach a mirage.

why do you not stop assuming you know what Grace meant, instead of assuming.

Thats why gets you into so much trouble..

Nothing you said here even comes close to what I have heard Grace say or what he believes..

I was thinking the same thing.

Why ask people to think the best of your intentions, but then twist and think the worst of another's words?

We have to figure out what it is first.. I used to think Gods language was king jimmy speak.. Whenever I heard a pastor preach that is how they would talk..lol

I figured they had "god speak" Or "King Jimmy Speak" 101 as a college course in seminary, since they all talked alike..lol

Now it actually makes me sick..

The interesting thing with a lot of people who have backsliden, is they often still believe
in Christ and some come back to faith. The emotional reasons why they walk away seem
complicated.

Hebrews seems to suggest with a real break with God, there is no way back.
I think this is more of warning as to what happens to peoples hearts rather than a statement
if you come to the Lord and repent He will not open up the door.

What I wonder at is why this issue bothers you so? Is staying in love so hard, knowing love
flowing in your heart day after day?

Sin discourages our hearts. It takes away our faith and gives us an independant view of
life where that which used to inspire us becomes dead, and the world starts to look good.
Evil unrepented of is rebellion. How can we believe God will listen to us, when we stand
in rebellion? King David when confronted realised his state and repented. The Lord is
gracious, yet people are often so hard in their judgements.

When sin is a constant focus, where are our relationships or self understanding?
Do we care so little for others, we sin against them constantly?
Here you go EG.

I KNOW he doesn't mean it, but it's what he said.

The NOT changes the WHOLE message.

Thank you, I missed it.

It just goes to show that instead of assuming you know what peter meant, You asked him to expliain.. Which is honorable.. Practice what you preach.

and I to would like to know what he meant..

God's language is love.

Seeing who people can be if freed from the lies that enslave them.

God's language is listening to and with the heart, not just the words said.

God's language is standing for truth and reality and not isolated worlds in the minds of mankind where they are their own gods.

Wait wait wait...,,peterjens did you just identify yourself as a Pharisee?

Anyway your definition of "believer" is incorrect unless you mean a believer in a false gospel, because God does have a problem with most of us, that's why He sent Jesus.

Here let me help you out.

A BORN AGAIN BELIEVER is someone who has died to his/her old self, repented of being a sinner and disobeying God, repented of unbelief and been given the Holy Spirit that declared them as children of God. God thenchastens and trains each adopted child to live godly lives. Of God is not convicting and teaching people how to overcome their sins then they are illegitimate and not true children of the Most High God. God does not only teach us what sin is according to Him, he empowers us to overcome. He lifts us up when we fall into a ditch the enemy digs and teaches us how to avoid such traps in the future. He is not a distant God but a living Father that walks with us through the valleys and mountains of our lives. Some days He carries us on wings of eagles and others He shelters us through the storms of our lives.

A BORN AGAIN BELIEVER walks with GOD daily and are ambassadors for the King to this world in need of His light and life giving water.

I know I am a BORN again believer.

A Pharisee is someone who teaches the Law and externally obeys but in their heart murders people daily. With their mouth they slander and lie but deny they have done any wrong. They do not repent or pray and seek God or His ways. They preach God's law without understanding the true depth of it but only judge people by external signs. They lack spiritual discernment and condemn people as lost fools who do not agree with them. They may speak from the Bible, but they lack power because their words contain no love for those they speak. Jesus called them whitewashed tombs. They look clean and pure on the outside but inside they are filled with dead men's bones. They seek to enslave those God has freed to the chains of condemnation and use God's law unlawfully to create their chains of lies and false doctrine.

I don't know why anyone would want to identify with Pharisees.
Who are the exceptions to the rule of Jesus needing to be sent?

Why can't we all learn to speak God's language?
We can, we were asked to live it in the spirit by way of His Spirit, to be able to learn it right, and wait on His Spirit to deliver it in His timing and means.

All that being said. How do you apply that to this thread?

Who have you judged as narrow minded?

Are you impartial?

Do you see the wrongdoing on both "sides"?

Or are you biased to the one you agree with, ignoring the wrongs done by members of your "group"?

I'll take the "All that being said," as an AMEN to the truth of God's Word. Yes, I am impartial to God's Word!
