Whose faith according to those works? What if some believe not (no faith)and ignore the kind of works you are suggesting.

Will it make the faith of God without effect as it works in us to both will and do His good pleasure?(imputed righteousness)

So yes according to the belief (faith) of Christ, it was not without all the works necessary to be the just one, By that one work of His faith he can be the one justifier of it .If it was not according to His labor of love no man could please the father. It is by his work of faith in which we are justified .We are not justified by the imaginations of our own hearts as the human (dead) source of faith (the unseen). When it comes to spirutl matters no person can see past the tip of thier own nose. Get the person's faith correct the work follows.... .We can believe God, not seen

We know He cannot lie or go back on His promises that lead us onward with a “living hope” of receiving our new incorruptible bodies. For who would hope for something we already have (a new body).

Either Christ, the Holy anointing Spirit of God is a person’s confidence or they have their own confidence in respect to some work they could do as a sign to their own selves they have believed (faith). Which in the end of the matter would be to blaspheme His Holy name by having what he believed ( the faith of Chrsit) in respect to their own selves. They have ha received the reward of the flesh, pride .

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Yes. He WILL finish the good work He began.
IF we stay in Him long enough for Him to finish the good work.

BTW, WHEN does this good work get finished?

Maybe someone else's words will make more sense to you....

Sanctification is an ongoing process, dependent on God’s continuing action in the believer, and consisting of the believer’s continuous struggle against sin. God’s method of sanctification is neither activism (self-reliant activity) nor apathy (God-reliant passivity), but human effort dependent on God (2 Cor. 7:1; Phil. 3:10–14; Heb. 12:14). Knowing that without Christ’s enabling we cannot do good works, but also that He is ready to strengthen us for all we have to do (Phil. 4:13), we “abide” in Christ, asking for His help constantly— and we receive it (Col. 1:11; 1 Tim. 1:12; 2 Tim. 1:7; 2:1).
What is Sanctification?

ok the only two verses ive seen that can leave room for sin in a righteous man

none that ive seen anyone here post

but these

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

this being NT has conflicted my understanding

Proverbs 24:16

16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

this is OT
talking before Jesus is easier for me to write off because
it also mentions turning back to God rather than falling back to a sinful life

but the 7 times makes it stick in my head
like Gods making a point

please use as little opinion and emotion as possible in your response

always looks like mindless haughty babble to me
This has been discussed by me many times here NNM.
It's just that no one here wants to hear it.

Well, actually, some here DO understand it --- it's just a small number that does NOT want to hear it.
Jesus DID NOT COME TO ABOLISH THE LAW.

Then you hear that this is not what they said.

Wow. It sure sounds like that's what they're saying!!!

Sanctification happens in two parts. Just as there are two types of righteousness: alien and proper.

Alien righteousness is the righteousness that make up our breastplate of porotection...it is Christ's righteousness imparted to us.

Proper righteousness is the fruit of being given the alien righteousness of Christ and what we gain by learning to live godly lives and do good works. It is what is judged as either gold, silver precious stones, hay or stubble.., It is what is burnt up but the person can still be saved if they have the alien righteousness of Christ clothing them.

Sanctification is first God washing is clean and placing within us a new heart that seems His will. Then it is learning to walk and follow the Holy spirit, putting to death the deeds of the flesh by walking in His light. Allow God to change your beliefs and desires to match His.
You mean like in some magical way ---
Or is it something YOU must do of your own free will and free determination?

The work is finished when you recieve your salvation certificate written in the the book of like when your final chapter is finished..

To me life means life.. and this is why its called the book of life... because are lifetime events are written in there..

So when your final chapter is complete you recieve your approval and not until its over..

when the trumpets will blow and the lady will sing. And old aquaintances will be renewed...

My mouth is sooooo dry.

Guess I should disappear...
BUT NOT YET.

Sanctification is something YOU do.
It's a result of obeying the commands of Jesus.
I don't think we can limit sanctification merely to obeying the commands of Jesus.

If we have been sanctified that means we have been made Holy and set apart.

We have not been set apart to just purely obey the commands of Jesus.

To me it goes way beyond that, it encompasses our whole being our whole selves.

I for myself add another level in that I ask God to conform me to the image of Christ to be like Christ.

Jesus summed up the 10 commandments in the two greatest commandments.

One of the major criticism of the Pharisees was how they used the law to justify themselves before God at the expense of others.

They followed the letter of the law but not the spirit.

So to me as I said for me it's to be conformed to the image of Christ, to be holy just like he is.
I want to be just like Jesus when it comes to way of how Jesus walked when on earth.
He was filled with compassion and love for the needy, the hurting, the neglected, the marginalised.

He healed on the sabbath much to the disgust of the law keepers.
He dined with sinners, he cried for and over people.

He did this because he loved people so so much, the love of the Father was in him.

Thats what I want to be like, that's what I aspire for in me life. To love people as Jesus loved people, to have that pure unadulterated love flow through for others.

So to that is a layer of sanctification I pray for, as that works I will grow more in being conformed into his image and as a natural response obeying what Jesus has asked me to do and be.

His post was in response to "easy believism" which is another straw man that folks aren't teaching on this thread but you and others like to talk about.
Since you insist that we do good works because we LOVE Jesus and do not state that it is absolutely imperative that we do good works,

You are, in effect, preaching Easy Believism and Cheap Grace.

JESUS DEMANDS THAT WE DO GOOD WORKS.
He does not REQUEST it because we love Him.

This could be a REASON why we do good works,
There ARE other reasons....
We each have our own reason FOR FOLLOWING WHAT JESUS COMMANDED.

No I mean like actually having a conversation and prayerful way.

God teaches His kids His wisdom in many different ways and it's not "magically".

The first and primary way is through the Bible and His Holy Spirit.

Next is through the Church and Holy Spirit filled members who have been given the spiritual gift of teaching....which you don't have, no matter how many Catholic adult classes you have taught.

Then also he teaches through circumstances of life and nature. Also through dreams and visions. However God primarily teaches through the Bible, prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He reinforces the lessons through people, dreams and circumstances of life.

Anything that isn't a works based salvation model (you must do good works to keep your salvation) is labeled "easy believism" to you FranC. You build on a false foundation with cracks labeled "my good works to save me"

I say you should do good works out of Love for Jesus and you call that cheap grace?

Really?
