Observation
Penn looked at my statement of faith, and went, this guy might actually know the Lord.
Maybe I have got it wrong.
This is the reaction of someone who has been steeped in propoganda and realises the
"enemy" is not as painted.
1. Shows how widespread the poison of legalism means obeying Christ is
2. Anyone who talks about sin and repentance is a legalist
I was surprised how the judgmentalism of other believers was not an observation
but embedded in every sermon or sharing. This is the truth, but the works evil people
will say this, you need to say that.
50%+ of Muhammeds words are answers to similar positions his opponents put forward.
It indoctrinates people against change and embeds them into a belief system, with little
chance of change because all the main logical concepts have already been slandered.
On this thread is a classic example of this.
The actual belief system is almost identical, except for future sin, righteous walking,
little differs. But listening to what is projected it is like night and day.
That is why 100% this is some odd indoctrination, and change of morality and authority
without actually admitting it, or being open and honest about it. It is why I can become
an anti-Christ or the most evil thing in church history, when sin is the problem in all of
church history and the failure to see love and the cross as the transforming power of the
gospel.
My heart is for us to walk in purity and holiness, but this is legalism to this group and its
enemy so though are starting point is similar I could never work in such a fellowship.
With closed hearts and minds, even if I could share it would get nowhere because the teaching
would make pointless any desire to walk deeper with Christ, rather seeing ones sins grow and
become more profound is seen as growing in spiritual maturity.
