the antichrist is all that opposes and exhausts its self in place of the knowledge of God, the spirit of antichrist that John spoke was called the mystery of iniquity by Paul, it comes out of what is known as Christianity, its the lamb with two horns ( Catholic/Protestant), it appears to be of Christ, but speaks the language of the dragon...

I have heard that sound before. A sound that denies God and Christianity 24/7.....It is a very SAD sound!!!!

I find this very interesting, but we all have different opinions on this. I believe the anti-christ will be a military leader, and an atheist as well. the muslims believe in worshiping God., but in their own way. this man will hate God enough that he will declare himself God to all the nations. he will be brought to power with the help of ten military nations. he will blaspheme God's name. he will not talk nice about him at all. straight out he will let you know that he hates God,and that he is the real God.

If the main interpretations of Prophecy are believed then I would find it extremely difficult to believe that the Antichrist had anything to do with Islam. What Jewish leadership would trust a Muslim enough to agree to a seven year covenant with him.
He is supposed to pose as the Messiah who would need to have proven Jewish credentials

Anti-Christ will by necessity be of Jewish ethnicity. Israel will not follow a Gentile or a son of Ishmael. Islam and Romanism will likely unite to form the great one world religion but they unite to come against Israel because Israel will not join with them.

For the cause of Christ

It is not about Israel anymore. It is all about the Church now.

Its obvious that Israel is very much involved with the end times. The major root cause of the worlds troubles at present including the rise of Islamic terrorism is Israel. The bible says Israel will be a stumbling stone for all nations

I would say the main world problem (except of poverty, cancer etc) is a conflict between the islamic countries and the West, mainly the USA.

And the root of it are money. Islamic countries have quite much of oil and the West needs oil almost for everything. That produces first modern wars and together with centuries-long hostility between these two blocks it produces so many terrorist groups of islam in the world.

Even though some Christians do not want to hear that, the state Israel is quite irrelevant in the world scale. Israel or not, India, Russia, EU, USA, Brazil, China etc etc will exist and continue with their lives as always.

Have you ever studied the Bible and
Yes.

Where did you get your Rose coloured glasses from?
Not sure what this means. That I am too optimistic? What is so optimistic on my post? We were without the state of Israel for thousands of years. So, really, for the world-wide scale it is not relevant.

It is relevant politically, the only one democratic country in the middle East etc, but you know what I mean.

The bible is clear that the Antichrist will claim to be god of this world and will speak terrible things against the God of Heaven. This does not really fit any religion but smacks of Godless liberalism. The attitude of liberalism(a movement trying to take over the West) is that a human person himself is god, also there is a total lack of respect for the God of the bible. I can see the Antichrist being a liberal from the West much more then any religious leader.

I strongly believe that the antichrist will arise out of Islam. Islam’s long awaited Mahdi, is said to appear in the last days. He will rule for either 5, 7, 9, or 19 years. It is said that he will be the redeemer of Islam and get rid of the evil in the world. According to Islamic tradition, the Mahdi’s arrival will coincide with the second coming of Jesus (their Islamic Jesus that is).

This Islamic Jesus will help the Mahdi to fight against the Masih ad-Dajjal (or false messiah). This Dajjal is the antichrist to them. They believe that this Jesus will “follow” the Mahdi in prayer. They also believe that this Islamic Jesus will then “break the cross, kill the pig, and abolish Jizya”.

For those that don’t know what this means, I’ll try and quickly explain. Throughout Islamic literature, be it the Quran or various Hadith sources, you will find Jews being referred to as apes and pigs. People of the cross would be referring to Christians obviously. So what then does it mean that when Jesus returns he would destroy those things?

Well, to get a better understanding of what is meant, we must first understand what Jizya is. According to the Quran, as a Muslim you are to kill the infidels wherever you find them…unless they are Jews or Christians (aka people of the book). If you are lucky enough to be a Jew or Christian then you have the option of paying the Jizya tax (tribute money) to Muslims in acknowledgement of your inferiority.

This Jizya tax is basically a “right” that Jews and Christians are entitled to, rather than simply being executed like the rest of the infidel. If you are a Christian who doesn’t pay the Jizya tax imposed by Muslims, then the only options for you are conversion or death. Now let’s go back and hear what Islam says Jesus will do once more after he returns. “Break the cross, kill the pig, and ABOLISH Jizya” With the absence of the right to Jizya in effect, it would mean that the “convert or die” options are all that one would have under this Islamic Jesus and Mahdi rule.

I also believe that if Islam was ever in a position of global power, they just might have the capacity to cause all, both small and great, rich or poor, to receive a mark…perhaps some kind of pledge to Islam…maybe the shahada or something similar. Maybe those who refuse to take this mark will simply be beheaded….who knows.

I personally feel that more Christians need to be made aware of the dangers of Islam and of its followers. It is NOT a religion of peace, rather, it is a religion of conquest and submission through violence. The similar (yet strikingly oppositional to the Bible) end time events found in the Quran are shocking to say the least. I really hope people wake up.

If we are to be true then we should be saying there is and has been a spirit of antichrist in Islam.

The Book of Revelation does not use the term antichrist anywhere. The Beast is proper usage.

Why does this matter, because as John stated many antichrists have come and gone and even now the spirit of antichrist is alive in the world and always has been.

I really have to wonder about fellow brothers and sisters some times. Some of you act like you will just know its the beast.

Let it sink in to your spirit, anything the devil does is to deceive people into thinking he is God. This means he will counterfeit anything of God's to device the saints.

He will do this with a demonic trinity, found in Revelation.

Himself- God
The Beast- Jesus
The False Prophet- Holy Spirit

This is why I cannot get behind the idea the Beast is a movement of people, it has to be an individual.

Here is a thought, not a statement of belief or doctrine, just a thought.

The greatest possible deception Satan could place on saints is this.

Allow the Beast to come to power and many Christians will say...Nope this is not the beast, because Jesus has not come and raptured us out yet.

I believe the Bible says he will enter into the rebuilt Temple and declare himself to be god.
Antiochus IV, but he took upon himself the title “Epiphanes,” which means “illustrious one” or “god manifest.”

But the most famous conflict connected to Antiochus Epiphanes is the Maccabean revolt. During that time of history, there were two factions within Judaism: the Hellenists, who had accepted pagan practices and the Greek culture; and the Traditionalists, who were faithful to the Mosaic Law and the old ways. Supposedly to avoid a civil war between these two factions, Antiochus made a decree outlawing Jewish rites and worship, ordering the Jews to worship Zeus rather than Yahweh. He wasn’t just trying to Hellenize the Jews but to totally eliminate all traces of Jewish culture. Of course, the Jews rebelled against his decrees.

In an act of brazen disrespect, Antiochus raided the temple in Jerusalem, stealing its treasures, setting up an altar to Zeus, and sacrificing swine on the altar. When the Jews expressed their outrage over the profaning of the temple, Antiochus responded by slaughtering a great number of the Jews and selling others into slavery. He issued even more draconian decrees: performing the rite of circumcision was punishable by death, and Jews everywhere were ordered to sacrifice to pagan gods and eat pig flesh."

The Jewish response was to take up arms and fight. In 167—166 BC, Judas Maccabaeus led the Jews in a series of victories over the military forces of the Syrian-Greeks. After vanquishing Antiochus and the Seleucids, the Jews cleaned and restored the temple in 165.

Antiochus Epiphanes is a tyrannical figure in Jewish history, and he is also a foreshadowing of the coming Antichrist."

the macabean books were the history kept by the jews accounting for the 400 years between malichi and matthew. Though it isnt part of the cannon, it is a valid account of events that happened between the ot and nt a time of spiritual darkness when God was not comminicating with mankind by Giving His prophetic word. antiochus IV took on the name epiphanes, claiming to be a god manifest, abolished the daily sacrifice of Jews, and ordered them to worship and sacrifice to zeus in accordance with His own will.

Some of you act like you will just know it's the beast.
The antichrist will be revealed before the Second Coming (2 Thess 2:3). We will be watching from the mezzanine (Re 4:1).

Allow the Beast to come to power and many Christians will say...Nope this is not the beast, because Jesus has not come and raptured us out yet.
Satan must have a guy waiting in the wings in each generation. Again, we aren't to be looking for the identify of the two beasts. We are to be looking for Jesus' return.

Ishmael....Muslims honor Abraham and are descendants...
Muslims claim kinship with Abraham through Hagar's offspring Ishmael. Hagar was given to Abraham by Sarah to birth a son, when Abraham and Sarah took matters into their own hands after God promised a child to Abraham through Sarah. Sarah was already quite aged and had been barren all her life, which is why she laughed when she heard the prophecy, and in fact, the name Isaac means laughter, or to laugh.

However, I would not say that Islam honors Abraham, for they disregard the fact that Isaac is the child of promise, whom God called Abraham's only son more than once in Scripture. It was through Isaac's line that Jesus Christ came as a blessing to the whole world, while Mohammed supplants Christ in Islam as the blessing. Mohammed, an adulterous,
brutal, war mongering pedophile, is held up as the ideal person in Islam.
