- Have you ever read something on Christianchat that changed your perspective on a subject?

As someone who is young and impressionable and in a questioning stage in life, I wouldn't say I've read anything that has COMPLETELY changed my perspective or changed me from one "side" of an argument to the other, but some things I've read have made me do more research into why I believe what I believe.

- Have you ever posted something that you regretted?

I have posted a couple of threads asking for advice on some personal subjects. Sometimes I wish I hadn't shared so much. But now they are hopefully too buried in everything else for people to see them LOL

- Have you made any real life connections (friendships) on CC?

I have made a couple of friends here on CC but never met them in person, but I would still consider them friends.

- Have you ever read something on CC that brought tears to your eyes?

Not that I can remember.

- If you left CC for good, what do you think you would miss most about the experience?

I mentioned before that some things have caused me to do more research and reading (the Bible) into why I believe what I believe. I would miss the fact that it really makes me think about important things that I never really thought about before.

- If you left CC for good, what do you think you would remember most?

The friends that I have met on here.

- Have you ever read someone else's post on CC and wished you had written and posted that yourself?

Nah. I have seen a post and subscribed to it because I'm interested to see what other people have to say though. I much prefer to browse and read the forums. I don't mind if someone else gets attention for a post when I maybe had the same idea.

- Have you ever incorporated something into your life that you learned on CC?

I'm sure I have subconsciously, but not consciously.

- Have you ever read something on Christianchat that changed your perspective on a subject?

It might not have changed my perspective, but it was definitely influenced my thinking. One of the reasons I keep coming back is because I've learned so much from reading about how other people think, feel, and experience life.

- Have you ever posted something that you regretted?

Absolutely. It's just like talking--there are times we all say or share something that we come to regret.

- Have you made any real life connections (friendships) on CC?

Yes. I've met about 10 people from CC and hope to continue doing so. I also hope that some of those people will be lifelong friends and that we'll be able to make several future visits. <3

- Have you ever read something on CC that brought tears to your eyes?

Yes--sometimes it was because of something sad, and sometimes it was because of something inspirational.

- If you left CC for good, what do you think you would miss most about the experience?

Definitely the interaction with people--reading about their lives, hearing other's opinions, and of course, all the clever bantering back and forth, like the threads in which people copied each other's avatars. :D

- If you left CC for good, what do you think you would remember most?

The friends I made here, and the way things were when I first joined (I used to hang out in chat a lot and remember several key people from that time.)

- Have you ever read someone else's post on CC and wished you had written and posted that yourself?

I don't necessarily wish I'd written what they wrote, but I do wish I had their talent and eloquence for the way they have expressed their story.

- Have you ever incorporated something into your life that you learned on CC?

Yes. We once had a thread about how to save money and I still use one of the tips from that thread today.

* Great thread idea, Proverbs! Kudos to you. :) *

- Have you ever read something on Christianchat that changed your perspective on a subject?
I think I've read plenty of people's stories on CC that have made me more compassionate toward people in situations I would consider wrong. And a video posting led me into some research which had me break with the church tradition I'd been part of for a decade.

- Have you ever posted something that you regretted?
Yes, but I like to think I'm getting better about that. Maybe it comes with increased compassion.

- Have you made any real life connections (friendships) on CC?
I haven't gotten to meet any CCers in real life yet, but I have been blessed to have a weekly skype with one who really helped me through re-entry and burnout and another sent me a Christmas package. I consider people who get to know me and my life beyond ideas posted to be a kind of real life connection.

- Have you ever read something on CC that brought tears to your eyes?
Not that I can recall.
- If you left CC for good, what do you think you would miss most about the experience?
Feeling like I'm interacting with people who interact back. And the banter.

- If you left CC for good, what do you think you would remember most?
That I'm not alone in being single, christian, and obedient

- Have you ever read someone else's post on CC and wished you had written and posted that yourself?
Yep
- Have you ever incorporated something into your life that you learned on CC?
That I learned from people I met on CC, yes.

Not that I know of.

Nope.

Not that I know of.

What was the tip?

A while back there was a thread in Singles about how to save money...

One of the single fathers here advised tearing fabric softener sheets in half and using just half a sheet per load (up until then, I'd just been using my Mom's method of reusing whole sheets in a second load.)

I know it was something small :), but it seemed to, and still does, make sense to me. :D And maybe we'll get another money-saving thread going soon.
