hi, i am a catholic i do believe in God but there are times that i would doubt His goodness. when i pray, sometimes it makes me think that God won't hear my prayers. i tend to worry/fear about the future i could not sleep well. i want to establish a strong relationship and to have the 100% faith in Him, but i just don't know how. im a bit lost right now maybe what i need right now is your prayers brothers and sisters. don't want to bother no one but since i could not do it on my own, i guess this time i need seek for your help to pray for me. God Bless Us All!

Its okay to seek help. What are the reasons you doubt God? And how much do you read Gods Word the Bible? God will make himself known through his word and the world around you.

Have you ever set down in nature at nighr and marvel the stars and space. Have you ever seen a beautiful sunset. Have you ever seen a human life being born. If you truly look and see, you can see God in all these.

But to ultimately grow in a relationship and truly understand who God is you have to read his Word which is his personal message to you.

He wants a relationship with you. And sometimes we have to act in faith allowing God to bring us to a deeper understanding.

Because once you put your faith in Jesus and invite Jesus into your life. You will gain the Holy Spirit as a helper. The Holy Spirit will guide you. We all start out with weak faith but once we surrender to God and in obedience God works with us to bring us to a deeper relationship and stronger faith.

Just like a human marriage it will take time to grow mature.
 
To understand this is to understand who Jesus was. Do you understand who Jesus was and why he existed in human history?

Brother, first i just want to encourage you to continue in faith, what it seems to me like is happening in your heart is a godly sorrow, its causing you to have a deep desire to know Him more. thats a great thing because its producing the desire it is, its part of the gospel.

you are talking there about wanting a real and better relationship with God the Father, your answer to that Is Jesus Christ the only begotten. you need first to realize He suffered and died not because we are worthy for such a sacrifice, But simply because He Loves you that much, that He gave His only begotten Son for you to believe in with all of your heart, and bring you into eternal Life. Jesus died a terrible death, for the purpose of bringing you to God, and He was raised to Life, to make you worthy because you believe that Jesus is the Christ He sent, and the Only begotten Son of the Only God Just to do that for us, to give us a relationship with God the Father.

already you have turned to prayer in this matter and that is wonderful and very wise of you. there is one thing that a person needs to know God, and that is to know the words spoken By Jesus in the four Gospels. its why Jesus came to earth, To bear witness to the truth of God, to show us how God cares for us, to show us how to live, How to think, to tell us the truth that God Loves us, and His desire isnt to be high in Heaven on a throne, but to live in your heart with you daily, through the promised holy spirit.

Jesus told us how to receive the holy spirit, he told us how to Love one another as God wills, He told us the things we need to work on, and the things were doing right also. He told us of the grace of God given to all mankind, and the word of God sent to the ends of the earth through those who would believe His words. I would encourage you to begin daily study with the book of John in the Bible. This book is a speacial one to me and im sure many others.

Im not sure if you do already spend daily time in His word, if so, i would encourage you to take in His words, let them guide your thinking and express your desire to Know Him that way. believe what you are learning because it is the power of God as we begin seeing the truth of Jesus Christ. He is Our savior because were lost to Knowing God without Him.

No one apart from Jesus Knows God, so in order for us to begin Knowing Him better , we have to accept what Jesus is saying because its His purpose in this world to show us who God is and what He thinks and wants, show us his power and truth, His desire to heal our sins and forgive them. to remove the things weve fallen into in the world, things like wrong thinking about God, things Like wrong teachings about God that have been in the world so long.

God bless you, and i will be praying for God to make clear to you and for you to begin experiencing the truth and the joy and freedom and most of all, that you begin a relationship with Gods only begotten Son. the best way to start is what your doing and also commit to His word, even if its 20 minutes a day, and always pray before and think about the words you are taking in, ponder them, by doing this, they begin to cleanse and reshape your mind, because you have the true desire to know Him, Jesus is the way !!

i guess i started to doubt when most of my prayers were not answered that is why i started to think if he really hears my prayers, sometimes i think that He only answers to those certain good/holy persons. i could measure my worth in Him. i read the bible everyday but only one verse.
 
yes brother i He came for this world to save humanity, i guess i need to spend more time reading the bible to know more about His goodness

Okay just checking your foundation to see what you believe. Well i know thos for sure. We are all sinners yes even people who are so called holy. God listens to all prayers and in accordance to his all knowing, all seeing, and holiness we misinterpret his answers to our prayers as sometimes not answering. When it could be God didn't answer because he had a greater plan because God knows what you need even before you ask.

Other times you may had been asking for something selfish or that didn't line up with Gods will.

Or possibly your prayers was too abundant and broad to figure out if God answered your prayers or not.

Many times also if you dont have a prayer journal you will forget exactly what you prayed and think Hod didn't answer when he actually did.

Another thing to consider is God wont always answer your prayers the way you want them. He is very wise in the way God does things.

We must remain spiritually aware at all times or sometimes you will completely miss Gods answer.

A verse a day is great but thats only going to keep you in a infant faith and you must persevere on toward maturity in Christ. Start reading Mark, acts, Romans, Genesis and John. These will give you a good idea who God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is.

Mark will give you a quick read on the ministry of Jesus, acts will give you a look at the early church and how Jesus and the Holy Spirit moved throughout people and the church, Romans will give you a ton of info on the characteristics of God and the believers responsibility, Genesis will give you the reason why we needed a savior, and finally John will give you more insight on Jesus ministry showing Jesus was God in the flesh in which really hits home on the characteristics of God.

Reading Gods personal words directed to you will show you the answers you seek.

I questioned things of the bible and every time I seek I am overloaded with answers and proof.

If your prayers are not within Gods will then you may very well be praying the wrong way. Praying to win the lottery isn't the best of prayers but praying you find the answers you seek or, to strengthen your faith, or to find a good church home. As you read Gods Word you will start to understand Gods will. The more you understand Gods will the better your prayers become and the more you become aware of Gods answers.
 
Roughsoul1991 just said it for you there. You need to, as I am also trying, to root your faith deep and start trusting in Jesus in everything no matter what and let him guide your life. Just know that you are loved by him no matter what.

I was Catholic too, so always believed there was That God. And then I asked him to make himself very real to me, and got to know The God. Ask him what you just asked us to ask him. Ask him to "establish a strong relationship and to have the 100% faith in Him."

Woooo doggy! He really really answers that one with one humongous YES!!!

He really doesn't give us our three-wish-genie list. He gives us what he promised to give us. "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

What he changes is our wills. What he changes them into is his will. It's much better than anything else we think we want. I'm not kidding. Ask for him, and you get lots and lots of him in so many good ways you'll be beside yourself with excitement.

First, the Lord knows everything, including when you pray and what you say. Second, it is our responsibility to trust him. Maybe those two things will help.
