You can put them on ignore.. Go to the Settings tab up top, click on "edit ignore list", add their name and click "save"..

Also going to their profile and under their name/pic is a list of options. One is to block people. Keep in mind this does Not work in the chat rooms. And if another user quotes them you Can still see their post.

Why do you need to? If you want to leave, what happens if you don't delete it? It's not like they hand over personal information if we leave. They don't even contact us, through our personal info while we're here.
So why not just leave without closing your account?
(And I might talk you out of leaving, but sorry. Barely noticed you in the ten posts you've made in the las 11 months. Nothing personal. I just never got to know you enough to talk you out of leaving.)
