Ken Whitley ..I have not spoke on this but a new star formed and was seen 4000 years ago that was the beginning of Abraham and the promise to Him that Israel would become as many as the sands of the earth....Then 2000 later that star shown again and marked the birth of Jesus it was then called the star of Bethlehem...God seems to mark a special event every 2000 years...Now there is another showing about to appear ...Same star and it will show itself in Sept last weeks 2017...The exact date they are saying Sept. 23, 2017....So is that a coincidence ? Gods word says no man knows the hour or the day of my coming....But this star every 2000 years marking already 2 major events makes you wonder....
 
Where did you see documentation, or scriptural reference to a star formed when God made His covenant with Abraham?

I'd never heard of the first star. Two thousand years is a long time. You'd almost expect a major event every 2000 years.
 
I have never read about a Star that appeared at Abraham's birth. My guess this is one of many Jewish traditional stories that have been in circulation for centuries. Paul said that in the last days people will pay attention to legends. It seems he was right.

Don't know about the first star (Abraham) but will say...one of four things listed as applied unto the Sun, Moon and Stars is.........

I believe that the star of Bethlehem is actually the planet Jupiter in some kind of strange configuration with other stars in a certain zodiac that is due to return on Sept. 23, 2017. The last time it appeared was 2 BC.
