I have a quick question. Is it a sin to love your married spouse as much as God? Not more than, but as much as.

To love God would be to do His will at all times, and put His will above all other people, and things, where a spouse might have something contradictory to that and if the person heeds their spouse over God's will it would mean they love their spouse more than God,at least in that situation.
Adam loved his wife more than God when he ate off the tree of the knowledge of good and evil when Eve tempted Adam by showing him that it was alright to eat the fruit for she did not die.
The Bible says that some people have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof, and are lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.
Jesus said we must put Him above our family.
The Bible says for the men to love their wives as the Lord loves the Church.
When in a neutral setting we would love our spouse as much as God,looking at no agenda but them alone, but we have to put God's will above all people, and what they would persuade us to do,which if the wife tries to persuade her husband to do something not of the will of God,he should heed God,for if he heeds his wife instead then at that instance he loves her more than God.
Basically a man would have to love God more than his wife, for he has to do the will of God,and what He requires, above what his wive would want him to do,and it is His agenda he should heed, and not his wife's agenda,or anybody else.
We love God above all people for we do His will, and obey His commandments, and be Christlike, and it is His agenda, above all else that people would want us to do,and try to persuade us to do,and we dedicate ourself to Him in a way we do not dedicate ourself to our spouse.

nouf said, this is the end all to this question.Eph 5.25-27
[SUP]25 [/SUP]Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, [SUP]26 [/SUP]so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, [SUP]27 [/SUP]that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.

Yes, it is a sin (since you asked). You shouldn't love anyone as much as the Lord. Nobody loves you as much as the Lord.I have a quick question. Is it a sin to love your married spouse as much as God? Not more than, but as much as.

I've been married for 38 years to the same man... I thought I could never love him any deeper than I did. When I fell in love with Jesus, I found I loved "someone" MORE than I loved my husband...
