Well they couldn't have. Noahs ark landed in the middle east, and there is no connection between there and Australia. There are also no kangaroo fossils anywhere but 'stralia.. But idk
I guess I don't understand why this matters. Animals go to certain lands. Birds fly south for the winter. Monarch butterflies come from Mexico and are seen in Michigan. From land animals to sea animals, they live in different climates. Why is this relevant?

What is a rep power? What does it do? How can we change it or delete it?
You can hide your green bar boxes but I don't believe that you can shut off your rep power. You give rep by clicking on the star of the bottom of the post that you want to rep. By dong this you are awarding rep points based on the amount of your rep power. The higher your rep power the more points that are awarded. Each 100 points is worth 1 rep power. You also get 1 rep power after posting 50 posts. After that you are awarded 1 rep power for each 1000 posts you write. Also, each year on the anniversary that you joined you get 1 rep power.

Thanks for explaining it. So in theory a high rep power means you have been on the site a while and a low rep power means you have not. That is assuming you post in the forum on a regular basis.

I feel like you have good points, but all of science tells us that in order for the fossils that are carved into the ice to be layered in the manner like they are, a few million years has to pass. This is a difficult topic :( My brain goes ouchie
And when I was a kid, science told us the earth was only millions of years old. And science told us there was nothing wrong with people until later on when "autism" became a word. And my brother was "just lazy," when we clearly saw him working his brain into an ouchie every single day, even on Sundays, but he had some things science wouldn't figure out for 1-2 more decades -- Dyslexia and Dyscalcula. And just a couple of decades ago, science told us dinosaurs evolved into birds, but now science tells us some birds evolved into dinosaurs, some dinosaurs evolved into birds, and some dinosaurs just had feathers. And a few years ago science told us Fibro and CFS was a mental problem, now they know it's physical. And five years ago, science told us that if you get cancer in the thyroid have it removed, but now they don't remove it.

Yeah, science tells us lots of things. At one time, science tried to tell us the earth was flat. Keep up with science. It keeps changing. God's word doesn't.

I know good and well that God made the earh, but there are some contradictions here now in my life. My mom says the earth is around 2000-3000 years old, but my science teacher, Professor Hemsworth, says that it is in fact around 5 billion years old. I have read the bible many times but I just need a straight answer! ;)
Hi YoungChristianBoy28, welcome to CC!

Sounds like you're looking for a larger discussion that just how old the earth is... I think we would want to start with whether anything can be known with certainty, and if so, how.

That was in answer to what wikipedia says. In truth it is an average opinion based on evolutionary calculations between many scientists. On a personal level, I find the 6000 years is where I would be happier with if placing bets.... It would be really amusing if when the Lord returns we were all to take a guess to the age of the earth and see who is the closest to the real age before He tells us!! Wouldn't that be fun! Winner gets some manna? :D

Evolution does not have much in common with the age of stars and planets.

Yup! Clearly you don't know. Nor do you want to know. I took 15 seconds to look at your claim on 'roos only in Oz.
A. You're wrong.
B. I saw how they could have gotten there by map and already knowing how sea iguanas became a species in the Galapagos.

Sorry. You're 27 and capable of writing, so you are also capable of doing your own homework, if you want to learn something.

Not my job to teach those who don't want to learn.

Interesting as what I was taught in school was that a big bang happened by random chance and from that point onwards everything we see today came into being including stars and everything else. There have been many theories, though this is a new one to me as when we were taught it, it was a case of what I mentioned.
Some who are UFO enthusiasts believe there was no beginning to the universe and everything keeps recycling as in the random formation of life in various pockets of the universe when conditions present themselves. From my experience and walk with God this does not bear witness to me on a personal level.

It matters because there must be fossils in the route from Turkey to Australia, if already made kangaroos were migrating this way.

Maybe zoos were not a recent concept?

Probably depends on the kind of school.

I do not recall anybody to teach me in school "Big Bang happened by random chance". They just said the reason is scientifically unknown and there are some scientific hypothesis and religious explanations.

Is a fascinating concept to explore the different theories out there. Yes, most of us have our own personal ideas. Is a good thread. Lots of concepts and ideas. :)

"The age of the Earth is approximately 4.54 ± 0.05 billion years."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_the_Earth

I am not sure why are you looking for the answer in the Bible. It is not there. Its like searching for the answer "in what year did Columbus discovered America" in the Bible.
lol yea that's about right, like searching the bible for Simon Peter's wife name but nonetheless Jesus did arrive at Simon peter's mother in law house and healed her.

Science only has what is available to work with and everything available was made by God and he is not above deluding nonbelievers as 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 tells us. Thus he could make the things scientists study, look like anything he desires them to see.
