You have gone from the NIV to the KJV... I have been reading and studying the KJV since the age of 13 and I am now 71... I have heard preacher after preacher speak from it over 58 years and in all that time not one ever said God's Spirit resides in the KJV... My KJV is composed of leather, paper and ink... The Spirit is not in the words but in the God who said them, and his Son the Lord Jesus Christ who lived and taught them and the Holy Spirit that reveals these truths to us sinful mortals... Do not get me wrong every word of God is precious but unless this cold and stony heart is changed to a heart of flesh by divine intervention, the words of God in any translation don't mean a thing... Remember the admonition of Paul to Timothy, I think you are sadly lacking in rightly dividing the word of truth... Brother Glen

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Keep in mind that of the original children of Israel in the wilderness, maybe 2 million, God only allowed 2 of the originals to enter into the land - Joshua and Caleb, because they had a different spirit in them. Only 2 people in that foreshadow of the church were allowed to enter in.

It's also interesting that their children, the 2ND generation, think born again, were allowed in. Not too many people can go where I'm trying to lead you guys... it takes FAITH, believing every word of God, no one can enter in with unbelief.

The stories I just gave you are the spirit behind the ink and paper... the spirit of Christ.

There is a difference between a faith and a blind faith.

We do not follow where you lead us because we see you use double standards and what is a proof for you that some modern translation is corrupted, is some kind of a deeper meaning when found in the KJV.

If you will apply the same standards to KJV as to any other translation, the KJV would not only be fallible, it would be actually one of rather worse translations on the market.

I only mention this because this is so cool and it demonstrates the spirit of the letter... when Moses sent out 12 spies to search out the land, TEN (think law, 10 commandments) gave an account that it was impossible to take the promised land BUT 2 (think grace, Jesus, bible) said hey no problem, God can do it.

Again, an example of the spirit in the letter. The letter doesn't mention anything about the law or grace in that story, yet GRACE and FAITH and the gospel are hidden there in the number of spies... you can't tell me this book isn't alive! The spirit of Christ in that book bearing witness to my spirit, leading me to all truth.

Jesus did not have an origin... end of story. Any bible that says he did is corrupt and isn't the inerrant word of God.

Not according to the KJV, Jesus is God and does not have an origin. Again we will agree to disagree lol. :)
But the KJV is not a criterion of what is right or wrong in other translations :)

No but the KJV is right on this based on other scripture and this is what I'm talking about when I say other bibles contradict themselves. In Isaiah 9:6 the NIV says Jesus will be called the Eternal Father because Jesus and God are one and eternal, yet in Micah 5:2 the NIV says Jesus has an origin. Jesus did not have his ORIGIN in God, he IS God.

Isaiah 9:6New International Version (NIV)

6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Micah 5:2New International Version (NIV)

2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans[a] of Judah,
out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose origins are from of old,
from ancient times.”

It is not a contradiction, because both are true. Jesus is eternal and has His origin in Father [from eternity].

Its a Christian belief about 2000 years old, so it really does not come from NIV.

Where in the Bible do you get Jesus has his origin in God?

"Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner."

John 5:19

"If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I."
John 14:28

Also, I am not sure why do you still change "Father" for "God".

Do you accept that in God there are three persons? We are talking about persons now.

Yes I believe in the Godhead (trinity). Three persons that are one and always have been one. The Word created the creation.

I said Father because that is one of the names of Jesus.

Isaiah 9:6 KJV
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

If you believe in Trinity, you know that Son is not Father, no matter what Is 9:6 says.

I actually wonder why do all English translation have "everlasting Father" there. We do not have it in Czech and as I checked Hebrew now, it is not there too...?

The Father dwells in Jesus, so I'm assuming that that means the Father and son are one in the same.... The Godhead is very hard to understand. :)

John 14:10 KJV
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Even when it is hard to understand, it is clear that Father is greater than Son or that Son is submitted to Father, that He does His will, that Father is who gave His Son for the world, who sent His son to the world etc.

What is so wrong to imply that Son has His origin in Father?

J 5:26
"For just as the Father has life in himself, thus he has granted the Son to have life in himself."

"And [we believe] in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of His Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father … .”
- this is 2000 years old Christian creed, not something from 20th century NIV

The King James Bible is the word of God and it can be demonstrated as such using computer software. Download "the King James Pure Bible Search software" it is free. In the Hebrew the gematria of Genesis 1:1 is 2703 (37 x 73). In the Greek the gematria of Jesus is 888 (37 x 24). The gematria of Jesus in simple english is 74 (37 x 2). All triple digit numbers are a factor of 37 such as 777 (37 x 3 x 7) and 666 (37 x 18). In the King James Bible "wisdom" is found in 222 (37 x 6) verses and so is the word "truth". God cares about numbers since the hairs on your head are "numbered" (Luke 12:7). If He took the time to number the hairs on your head then you can be sure that He numbered His book.

All of the following are found either 37 times in KJB or in 37 verses or both.

Saviour; ark of God; ark of the Lord; churches; his word; the cup; ministered; crucified; corner; branch; miracle(s); authority; shall hear; shall rise; wine (NT); grapes; manifest; treasure; the apostles;

Counting from Mark 1:1 to Revelation.

"the beginning" found in 37 verses
"the gospel" found in 74 (37x2) verses
"Jesus Christ" found in 185 (37x5) verses
"the Son" (case sensitive) found in 111 (37x3) verses
"Son of God" (case sensitive0 found in 37 verses

Anyone want to calculate the chance of this being random? This is one verse and I can tell you that the entire King James Bible exhibits a pattern of 7's and 37's. Try the same thing with Matthew 1:1; John 1:1; John 18:37; 1 John 5:7; 3 John 1:12 (the 222nd occurrence of the word "truth" in the KJB.

yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel;
whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
