Oddly enough my father got me into "older songs". Classic rock (80's) is my favorite genre.
American Pie is apart of my "dishes songs" along with Don't stop believing, we didn't start the fire, bohemian rhapsody, and a couple other Journey songs

Don't stop believing is a popular hit song with younger people I've noticed. :)

I saw Journey in concert once, when I was stationed in Hawaii back in 1986. They still had the original singer, Steve Perry. I can honestly say, that was the "clearest sounding" concert that I have ever heard! It sounded like they were lip syncing to their album. Check out this video from Journey from the early days, 1978. Notice the hair and clothes. :o

Time after time....I've heard it sang mostly by Willie Nelson because that's how I roll...lol. But I'm pretty sure its been done by several people. And I know matchbox 20 did it.

If a Journey song comes on no one can stop me from singing and dancing all over the place xD
