The gift of God is "eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ."

The "THROUGH" is a reference to a MANIFEST ABIDING STATE where the genuine Christian is wholeheartedly abiding in the love of God, love which is therefore the ROOT of every deed produced in our lives.

This is why John teaches that the children of God are MANIFEST in that they do not produce sin...

1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1Jn 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Love does not and cannot work ill.

Rom 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

You cannot be "saved" and still sinning, for "sinning" is the antithesis of love and salvation is inclusive having had the love of God written upon the heart and mind by the Holy Ghost.

Heb 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

Rom 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Thus the genuine Christian has boldness on the day of judgment because "as He is" "so are we now" in the Spirit of love.

1Jn 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
1Jn 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Your fallacy is that you view the guft of salvation as a POSITION and thus disconnect it from the MANIFEST CONDITION of the heart, and due to this error in your thinking you perceive the "committing of sin" as inconsequential to salvation.

In rejecting the true transformative dynamic of "saved by grace through faith" you have actually rejected the love of God being shed abroad in your heart, and have thus settled for a carnal fiction of salvation, a framework from which you interpret everything in the Bible.
