No that is not what I mean,
Here maybe this will turn on the light for you?
Who will hide in the Light?
A. The children of God.
B. The children of the devil.
Who will hide in darkness?
A. The children of God.
B. The children of the devil.
Who will hide in the light? Well, the children of the devil are
not in the light so that eliminates them.
And, His Children, who He has ordained as the light and salt of the world need not hide anything of that which they have become and are growing in. Perfect love cast out fear, therefore, greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. so by the will of God we are light to the world as we simply are
in Christ - ("in," being a granted position and an experience of obedience (Volitionally)). Christians are separate from the world in Christ, But Jesus didn't ask God to take us from this earth since we no longer are from it, He prayed to God to protect us as He sent His Saints into the world as the light of the world to preach the good news to all peoples; using us as co-workers in Christ to do God's perfect will and our reasonable service .
So, why would Christians hide in that which God has ordained and empowered us to be in Christ? - the light of the world. We are the evidence of a transformed life in Christ, God wants them to see this to bring Glory to Himself. The will of God is to show His love and glory in our weaknesses (Not in our disobedience to God in our sinning - labelled as a natural weakness, for
in Christ we are now to kill the things of the flesh), thus, it is He whom we can boast and no one else, as we do as He wills us to do. For He is why our illumination to the world; seeing whom we have become, and are growing in, in the realness of that change, are the light in contrast to the darkness of the world and its bondage.
Of course, if we label ourselves in Christ, but are not truly in Him; unless a man is willing to cross over from death unto life he is ashamed of the light which is beyond his ability, and it thereby judges him and convicts him by way the Holy Spirit.. If a Christian hides in the light he too has not come to terms with his death on the Cross with Christ. He may have believed, but he has not yet received Him in his belief, thereby not truly believing fully.
Despite being separate from the world in Christ, he struggles in staying in Christ because he still loves the world, and is unwilling to obey Jesus yet. Understanding this, he also, is ashamed to be seen in the world labelled as light to them, for he is not in Christ, therefore he is not the light of the world. These have not made their Savior also their Lord; they have not fully received Christ.. The Word says we are hidden in Christ Jesus, not hidden in the position Jesus says we are in to the world - the light to the world because we are hidden in Christ and fully dependent on Him and obedient to His will being seen by those in the world as the glory of God in the transformation of our lives in Him..God need not call us to "do the light of the world." We are the light of the world because of the realness in our transformed life in Christ. The life lived out as Jesus is our Savior and Lord; even as he continues to finish His work in us. Not to cover our endless sinning. How is that light in comparison to darkness?
