Hi folks as a single christian it isn't always easy meeting someone that is right.Over the years I have made too many mistakes in relationships and it has been extremley painful but god has been merciful and now I am choosing to let him dictate yo life's movements.God does care about our lives in this area and whilst the enemie would love to trap us with an unsuitable partner...god wants us free from such schemes and wants to lead us in this area of out lives.
At times it isn't easy..but god is with us folks!!!

Yes I agree and in him he wants us to be a whole complete person and not allow other pressures around us to make us feel like half a person because we're single or some kind of social failure.

If that is REALLY your mindset, do you see the following analogy: Your prospects for a spouse will be your mail delivery person and the person sitting next to you in the pew who is the one who strikes up a conversation.

Think about this: Why can't God introduce you to someone in the small group YOU take the initiative to join? What about that prospect working on that volunteer work day YOU sign yourself up for? What about that attractive guy across the room at that community event YOU decided to attend. Do you see my point? WE need to take the initiative and get ourselves out there to meet people. Start conversations, go to new places, attend events...don't just take the mindset of "Well, God, I'm waiting. Meanwhile I will sit here in my living room and knit a blanket to donate to the homeless shelter, or I will just work on my project in my garage waiting for You to put someone in my life".

My point is - we need to take an active role in meeting people. We can't expect them to come to us all the time.

Didn't see anyone suggest what you're stating. It's an assumption on your part that people are intending to sit at home and wait for someone to knock on the door.

Yes ugly your right. No one is suggesting what sparkle eyes is suggesting were meaning. From my experience christians meet their partners in a variety of ways and I have had friends marry and then get divorce and they later confess that they knew it was the wrong decision to marry the individual but ignored that small voice that was naturally a prompting from the Holy Spirit that the person wasn't suitable for them.(yes this does happen sometimes)
Yes I agree we all use common sense and if you like someone ect then get on with things (with prayer)and rely on god to determine the outcome. Not all christians have the same experience in this area and there are some christians who have never even had a relationship before and wouldn't even know how to go about meeting new people ect.

Yet we serve a wonderful, kind ,sensitive ,gracious God who cares for us and he knows how to direct our paths and he knows the struggles we face at times as single christians.Yet god truly cares about our struggles in this arena and all single christians are having their own personal experiences whether it be good or bad .God loves us All and I care for you ALL to.

Jesus is the best love I've ever had, he's never ever left me broken hearted. In fact, he always seems to be the one to pick up the pieces of my broken heart and put it back together.

However, to the OP I hope God blesses you with the one you're looking for!

Ugly - You are taking my words literally. I was referring to the mindset that women shouldn't make ANY effort in the dating process.

Hi Stewart. As a white, straight, English, male Christian, nothing is particularly easy. The powers that be ideally want to exterminate anyone who fits that description. All you can do is hang in there and praise God you aren't foreign.

Hi Stuart..I am not sure what your attempting to say in your comments?
what do you mean when you say that
" the powers that be ideally want to exterminate anyone who fits that description.(I take it you mean your descrition - white English ect ect...)..and then you're telling me to praise god that I'm not foreign!""

My late Grandfather's second wife is an Americanized West Indian and she told me to make sure I marry someone who is white. She did private nursing in the States and kept getting propositioned by doctors, but turned them all down because they were black. Eventually she met my Grandad who is white English, married him before I was even born and they spent their retirement globe trotting on their generous private and state pensions. Our generation will not benefit from all that because of the racist, end times, one world agenda which is setting the scene for the arrival of the Antichrist. Mass immigration is all part of the scheme involving deliberately destroying the native culture of Britain. With regard to finding a life partner there's hope for you yet at 49 but don't kid yourself into thinking you'll have decades of peacetime and prosperity to enjoy it.

That is what we are ALL supposed to do, it is not "a relationship with Jesus OR a relationship with another". All who are single must be content with themselves first before they can ever hope to have a successful relationship with another. We must reach a point where our focus is on our relationship with God as the priority. Then, if God wills it, we may be blessed with a partner, but until we become content with God and God alone first, we cannot expect a successful relationship with anyone else.

Just my thoughts.

I'd recommend getting a Labrador to anyone who wants a life partner but can't find one. If you don't like Labradors then marriage and children clearly aren't for you anyway.

Also, you don't have to be married to have a family there are lots of children who need love in this world, just waiting for someone to adopt them. Just food for thought..

Father, I I put all my hopes on you. And All my hopes are from you. Give me strong faith and strength above all. Break all my old and flesh things to pieces.
