Thought you might be interested. This was handed out to catholics after their church service. All about the "immaculate" and no mention of Jesus at all!

There is only One Mediator between man and God, the One, Jesus Christ.

why is she used as the inter seed aka intercessor in some Relegions, what bible verses or concepts/theories etc. that support this notion/practice of this in scripture. Does anybody know where in the bible this is being compared too?

"We believe that the Holy Mother of God, the new Eve, the Mother of the church, continues in heaven to exercise her maternal role on behalf of the members of Christ".
That is a direct quote of Pope Paul VI, CPG 15

Yea I've seen that stuff, no scripture supports the theory, it comes from the wedding in Cana in that Mary was compassionate in wanting the guest to have more wine, it's a theory only.

Some people on this site seem very quick to consign people to Hell for various false beliefs Catholics in particular. I believe God looks at the intentions of the Heart not whether their Doctrine/theology is exactly in line. If you are brought up as a Catholic chances are you wont know any different from that which your family friends and Church teach you. God judges according to the light an individual receives.

No doubt I've seen as well the to consign people to hell statements, that's something I've never done, I may disagree and or even rebuke a belief, though I'll never say to anybody they are going to hell for such or such.

Can we please try to be nice to each other if we all have to go in the same spaceship (the round one called The Earth)?

Now I'm not RC, and have a lot of issues with RC doctrine, but I happen to know that St Barbara is supposed to look after those who work with explosives.

A couple of years ago I was newly qualified and taking responsibility for firing a massive stage pyro effect at the finale of a show for children. I'm looking at a big red button labelled FIRE, and the key to switch the panel on is in my hand.

If I've got this right I could get the show rave reviews. Wrong and I could put the cast in the ER. Cue coming up, key in, selector on, green light on the panel. The firing button is now set live.

At this stage I breathed a very short prayer. Then I realised that I had invoked St Barbara as well.

In moments of stress it's a very easy thing to do.

That's why I'm not critical of people who use intercessors, even though I don't agree with the theology.

St Barbara intrigues me Was she blown up?

[h=2]Is Mary a intercessor? NO.

The Spirit Himself makes intercessions for us;He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.[/h](Romans 8)

25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for [it] with perseverance.

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit [is,] because He makes intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God.

speaking on the catholic religion, I do have respect for some of the martyrs of the day, St. Lawrence being one to come to mind, he got placed on a grid iron cooked alive so the story goes for giving money and things to the poor and needy.

sister Theresa did a lot of honorable things as well, and I like quite few of her poems and short messages.

- Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

- The papa is the head of the catholic religion.

Mary is nobody's intercessor. Some religions teach praying to Mary but that is a doctrine of demons...to put it simply.

There is ONE mediator between God and man, that is the Man Christ Jesus. There is no other

if there are any catholics or orthodox here id also like to ask why do you pray to Mary and saints its not from my tradition and i dont see it in scriptures........... but if you can show it to me its ok.......... i do respect Mary God bless her!!!!!!!

Why do they pray to Mary? I thought you knew. The Romanist church teaches them to pray to Mary. After all she is the eternal God's 'mother' and a huge money maker for that religion

hmmmmmmmm be more respectful i dont think Mary was "just a sinner like all people"..... look what scriptures say to Elizabeth for example in luke 1:6 i think its the same with Mary

LOL Mary WAS a sinner just like everyone else. Why else would she need a savior?

1 TIMOTHY 2:1 I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men:
1 TIMOTHY 2:2 for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.
How does this answer the OPs question?

No Sir Mary is not the intercessor, though quite a remarkable woman indeed, loved Her little boy who grew to man, watched Her little boy she loved and cherished get torn to pieces.

It is no coincident that Paul wrote to the Church in Rome, because they practiced Idoltry and other things. describing the works of the Roman church.. One was about worshiping Mary in Romans;1; 25; Who changed the truth of God into a lie,and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever more. This whole chapter describe the Roman Catholic Church. they hold the truth in unrighteousness.

That's a good post thanks, that's quite interesting though where they practicing more of paganism or of catholism? the time frame Paul wrote his letters where in the first 100 years AD. I have read some articles that say around the year 300 AD, Christianity was still just a minority religion in the Roman Empire, practiced by perhaps ten percent of the population. In some years it was discriminated against; in some years it was persecuted. By 400 AD, a century later, it had become the official religion practiced by pretty much everyone.

They use all kinds of passages to build up Mary.
They add to it.
The catechism is more important than the Bible.
Church Fathers rule over the Bible.
And rumor has it they have billions of dollars worth of relics and treasures hidden down in the catacombs, in the parts not open to the public.

Can a catholic priest really go through life not knowing the truth?
I often wonder if they sell out to keep their job.
