He can't make them realize... They are free to walk if they so choose... We have more responsibility than you guys are willing to accept.. That's gonna be quite a disappointment..
Is that anywhere in my words? You guys twist stuff it's so horrible
No you responded to my post that I would be disappointed and accused me of not accepting responsibility for my actions, both based upon a post that included this

Let them walk away and then cast them into hell?

Or does he walk beside them and carry them during this storm and hurt, then make them realise how much He loves them and how the world is corrupted by sin.
I didn't "twist" your words. I asked you a question, but apparently that isn't allowed.

Lol I love him like a brother and I don't believe in incest.

I was actually thinking of the bike ride in the woods and thinking it would be awesome to be able to have it in my "backyard" my kids would love being so close to nature.

We just got home today from camping (my daughter and me). The boys still at boy scout camp.

Hmm...as someone who raised in the Catholic Church this sounds a lot like what was taught to us in school.

"Open the Gates" of heaven ...yup... I remember that exact phrase.

Too funny.

Yes exactly what do we have to believe?

Really, are you so naive to believe that all who post on CC have a sound understanding of the Gospel?

Why do you keep avoiding answering, what is the gospel?

I would have not hesitate if I was asked. If you think that is a dumb question then you have no idea how many false gospels circulate the globe.

What is with all this insecurity around superficial things like looks and intelligence?

Eternal life ...Jesus laid it out very clearly when he spoke to Nicodemus.

I admit I might be a bit naiive.
There's only one way to be saved. There are other ways? Like what for instance???

It does kind of seem like a silly question.
I spent years explaining what it means.

You become saved by believing in Jesus who was sent by Father God specifically to teach us how.
I used to tell the story of the birds that were trapped inside the barn and kept hitting up agains the glass window and fell to their deaths.

Or the story of the army of ants who would fall off the Cliff every day into a raging fire and how Jesus became an ant to teach them how to avoid this.

By believing in Jesus we have a better life NOW and we are able to enter into heaven. He opened up the gates of heaven for us. They were closed before. These two ideas are the good news. And, of course, you eventually have to say WHAT we have to believe. That God sent Jesus to us, that He died, that He was resurrected.

There are some verses that I particularly like regarding this:

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 explains the above.
John 3:16 Invites everyone
Acts 4:12 Tells us Who saves us
Acts 2:21
Ephesians 2:8
Galatians 2:16

v vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

When Jesus spoke to Nicodemus, John 3, He told him about how to become a member of the Kingdom of God.
Not so much about salvation.

In fact, if you do a study on this, you'll find that salvation is not really mentioned in the N.T. the way that we understand it today.

Jesus came to teach us how to become members of His family and join in His Kingdom.
Of course these people ARE saved. But Jesus didn't really have this in mind.
Salvation as ONLY BELIEF IN HIM, was not His goal.

Check it out. (I'm not saying salvation's message is wrong - it's just different today)

John 19:30
So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” Andbowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

in the Greek, Tetelestai, was a legal term, those who had paid their debt in full, carried a card with them affixed to the card was the crime, and stamped on it was the word tetelestai, it means the debt to society was "paid in full" and they could never be tried for the same crime again,

EG, where DID you get that crock of nonsense? What site?

I don't think anyone can deny the reality that people sometimes "walk away" from God.
.the question is what does God do?

Walking with or away from God is about our / discipleship/ abiding in Christ/fellowship with Him/Grace/Holy Spirit/ which is His connection to us, it not about our salvation and eternal life in Him.

When one confuses the faith walk with salvation/eternal life/ being justified then that is when people start arguing that we can fall away and loose our salvation.

Sounds lovely but not true.. Go thru and study all the scripture dealing with it and hopefully you see that you are mistaken.

I do not believe in predestination, being justified or OSAS is not predestination.

In the Calvinist mindset OSAS is the perseverance of the saints, they believe that God chooses certain people to save because He knows they will persevere.

To be quite honest, I think that is not what Paul is saying at all, and it is nonsense that God chooses certain people and therefore they can never loose their salvation.

And do not me started on limited atonement I hate that doctrine more.

you are asking a person who believes in predestination why there is no free choice in the Bible...

It is altogether lovely.

God does not make mistakes, His plan of atonement is perfect and supported consistently in scripture for those who rightly divide. Your plan is hit and miss and makes a mess of scripture so that it is an inconsistent mess where sheer human effort is really salvation and not Jesus.

I pray that you will someday leave your shackles behind and see how much God loves you and how much He has really done for you!

It will be a revelation and you will wish with all your heart that you had taken the time to trust God's word from the start, He is a God who justifies His children eternally based on their faith and right belief because of His complete work through The Son Christ Jesus.

Wow this is amazing!!

Thanks for pointing this out. Scripture is wonderfully consistent for those who have eyes to see.

Precept Austin.org... I' LL bet

That's a nice site. I found only one commentary out of what seemed to be dozens that said "paid in full".

If only EG used it correctly, instead of looking for someone to agree with him.
