Ray Kurzweil and Dmitry Iskov from 2045.com wants to end death completely and wants humanity to live forever in a "avator" by 2045 and it's becoming a midstream now. This is not a joke and they are completely serious about this. I for one believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead three days later. But I can not bare to live inside an avator for eternity.

Ray Kurzweil is a very smart man no doubt about it, but I in fear transhumanism will become a reality by a quarter of a century from now, and I hope he's wrong about the singularity and transhumanism.

They even think they can one day transfer your soul and consisouness to an avator from the human body one day.

Also some people aim to bring back the dead. I strongly disagree with that. Do you think that's possible?

Technology is improving at an alarming rate and we will never know what they will be capable of in the future. Hopefully the second coming of Christ is coming to stop all this.

Would transhumanism defeat death, if so, you can still choose to die and go to heaven with Jesus right? I for one would hate to be forced to be in an avator one day. I would still choose to die even though they invent the technology for immortality.

Would that defeat the purpose of living for Christ and going to Heaven?

Let me know if you guys think about all of this. When they invent the technology to live forever in avators I will still choose to stay in by biological body and die and go the heaven.

Oh don't worry about such a thing
Just a billionaire and his vanity
Such is the way when one has too much bling

2045 is quite a ways away
And it won't be a pretty decade
Just take a look at the world today

Transhumanism, or so it is called
It is a fantasy, but I can empathize a bit
It's psychological, trying to break out from whence they're walled

For some it is about trying to escape from death
For others they're simply not happy with their appearance
In vain they will try, but I wouldn't count on it happening, nor hold my breath

Do you think it's unlikely? Ray Kurzweil works for google and dimtry iskov a Russian billion will devote their whole lives making this happen. But at least it's not that they can force you to live forever via an avatar and stay a human and die and go to heaven right?

I don't think it is possible. The soul is ineffable- immaterial. How can something immaterial be transplanted into something material? Even if it were possible to do a brain transplant and hook your brain up to a machine, it still would not be you, only a brain controlling a machine- not a living being, something mechanical. Your soul is not in your brain. People will try anything to prolong life here, but everyone is going to die. Even if your brain outlived you, you would be dead.

If I thought it were unlikely they'd still have a chance
Alas no, I don't think they'll achieve this romance
There's too many assumptions needed to make it real
And many more ways to fail before they can make this a deal
But let's suppose for a second we grant them their dream
Well in that case it's even easier to destroy a machine
And let's even say they can stay forever as robots reborn
Then they have only cheated themselves
And we will be resurrected from death in a mysterious sublime godlike form

They will devote their whole lives to making this happen. Ray Kurzweil is taking 100 pills a day so he can 'live to a day where they can transfer his consisiounesss to an avatar'. He also has a team that is trying to make that happen. Working on it. Remember he works for google and that's why I am worried.

Dimtry iskov is a Russian billionaire of 2045.com that is trying to do the same thing. He also has a team of scientists and technicians trying to achieve this goal. And they will do this for the rest of their lives unless they succeed.

Do you think despite all that they will not be able to achieve their goal?

Ps if they do achieve their goal I want no part of it. I would choose to stay human and die naturally and be with the Lord Jesus in heaven. :)

Unless they can revive the dead which I hope that's not possible either.

Yes, they will certainly try
But no, they will not succeed
And they will certainly die
Eating 100 pills a day
Is not a path to longevity
But to go to the early grave it is one way
Irony, the bane of the intellectual
And the respite of lowly fools
I wouldn't worry about lying Google, they are ineffectual

People with money and technological know how still can't do the impossible. I'm not saying that a human brain can't one day function in a machine. I think it probably can. At first, though, it will probably only be able to do things like turn lights on and off- the brain is too complex to be able to completely wire it into a machine.

They are working under the misconception of materialism, that we are our brains. I don't believe this is so. I believe we are souls, immaterial- and something immaterial can't be wired into something material.

Wealthy people tried cryogenics, and that was a bust. This thing will be a bust, too.

What about Christain Transhumanism?

First of all, this guy here: i'll quote him.

"

Does god not want us in heaven one day?

If God wants to take us, he can do so anytime he wants—just like the biblical Enoch. He doesn't need us to insure our own deaths to do so. In fact, in 1 Corinthians 15, Paul describes some people who will be made immortal without tasting death at all.

That said, the biblical vision is of heaven coming to Earth.

Jesus teaches us to pray, "Your kingdom come...on Earth as it is in heaven."

The end of Revelation depicts the New Jerusalem descending to Earth, to bless all creation.

Romans 8 talks about the children of God participating in the renewal of this cosmos.

So yes, God wants us in heaven, but we don't need to die to get there."

Is that possible? I do not want to live forever in an avatar and want to live a healthy life and die naturally and go to heaven. If you can't die on earth, how can you get to heaven?

Also, if you can't get to heaven, you won't ever be able to see Jesus (until his second coming) and your loved ones that passed away and went to heaven before you.

How do they know that god will allow this? Why is is everyone talking about Trans-humanism? Why are people like Ray Kurzweil and 2045.com trying so hard to make that happen?

And Trans-humanists will fail at stopping death and reviving the dead right? Not talking about the recently dead but those who died a day or month ago.

These people are trying to glorify themselves, while they were created to give
glory to God. How could anyone believe they would be able to circumvent God?

That's what I am asking. I fear trans-humanism because their goal is to make us live forever in avatars, preventing us from dying and going to heaven where there is mainly Jesus and Love. And I hope the dead will never be revived. Also how can we go to heaven without dying? It just does not make any sense?

So much that the world promotes reminds me of the serpent telling Eve she won't die.... but be as a god... so many are deceived and believe this to this day....

You frequent way too many wacky websites and watch too many funky movies.. seriously, transhumanism will NEVER happen..

These people are a bunch of whack jobs. No, I don't think that they will achieve their goal by 2045. 2145 maybe but then they'll be dead and gone. Only person that can revive the dead is Jesus. Stop watching and reading this crap that has polluted your mind and start getting into the Word of God.

Scriptures are true. Science fiction is not. Just mens imaginations.

What is prophesied will happen. Personally, I believe we in the USA have 12 years of prosperity. Beyond that? Not sure. Will wait to hear what saith the Lord.

There are many things happening in the medical field too to bring men to live forever...so they hope.

All will fail. Trust in Jesus...there's eternal life. Plus an exciting life lived in Holy Spirit. And a clean worry free conscience knowing who is in control.

I ain't sweatin' it, and I don't recommend anyone else does either.
Whatever these guys are up to, it's probably something other than what they say it is.
Maybe they're in cahoots with Satan, and the actual goal is deceiving and killing people.
But I'm not concerned about these eggheads.
They'll die and stand before God same as the rest of us.

I'd rather die and be with Jesus for eternity than to live for eternity playing Nintendo on a world with so much evil (that may not even be here too much longer).

I'd kill myself if trans-humanismhappens and you don't have a choice but to live in those avatars. Trans-humanism is just unnatural in my opinion. But for sure I prefer to die naturally as a human and my soul going to heaven where I can be with Jesus for all eternally. :)
