Yes Israel is done except for the remnant that God has kept through the years. No fruit will ever grow on the fig tree forever.
To clarify, when I say Israel I mean the nation and religious system, not the people, there always will be and has been a remnant of the Jews that are chosen.

The same story about the withered plant in bethany;

Mark 11;19
And when even was come, he went out of the city.

20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Nice. Jesus equates the Mountain to the Fig Tree.

So Jerusalem is the Fig Tree.

Exactly and well put! Flesh Israel is done except for the remnant that God has kept throughout the years, earthly Jerusalem is done as well.

No,in fact Ismael is the analogy of the child of the flesh, while the lineage of Isaac is the people of the promise. The BIBLE goes on to say that the lineage of Hagar has zero inheritance.

Gal 4;22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.
28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

Zechariah 4:7 KJV
Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying , Grace, grace unto it.

This is the mountain. Zerubabbabel which represents Christ made the mountain a plain and brought forth the mountains headstone shouting Grace, Grace to the mountian.

Now what mountain did Christ make low and give grace to? The law. The law became - love God and love your neighbor when Christ came. That's not really a mountain when compared to thou shalt not.

Fig tree CAN represent Israel metaphorically.

Not always.

Lamb CAN represent Jesus metaphorically.

Not always.

Ishmael and Hagar represent flesh Israel under the law. Isaac represents the children of the promise under grace. The children of the promise are saved Jews (from all times) and saved Gentiles (from all times).

It was as Jesus said to the the woman at the well. “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. [SUP]22 [/SUP]You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. [SUP]23 [/SUP]Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. [SUP]24 [/SUP]God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

Jesus cleansed the temple right around the very same time.
He was pronouncing judgment against Israel.

No,Ishmael has nothing to do with Israel.

Galations specifically says that the children of Hagar have no inheritance.

The children of the promise are the church. And yes, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the old testament saints that believed God and it was counted to them as righteousness WERE part of the church.

Good point! The children of hagar have no inheritance. Hagars children ALLEGORICALLY are flesh descendants of Israel that answered to Jerusalem and were in bondage.

Galatians 4:25 KJV
For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

Walk trough the valley
If the Rapture is described in Revelation 13:15 I don't think it would be as popular a subject, but you would be correct, aboult mid tribulation, ya I am to.

How can the flesh Jews be replaced when they were never God's chosen people to start with? God's chosen people have always been the children of the promise. Isaac was CHOSEN because he was a child of the promise, not because he was a flesh descendant of Abraham.

Rom 11;17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.
20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.
24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

See that? They are covenant. You have to factor in the fact that they, the jews, whether you like it or not are family and God is not through with them.

Jesus was showing that the Jewish system of sacrifice was dead and unfruitful in terms of salvation, for as Paul said, it was impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sin. Jesus was entering Jerusalem near to the last week of His earthly ministry and He was preparing to institute the new and better covenant, which meant the old had to pass away. That is why He caused the unfruitful fig tree to wither, for it represented the unfruitfulness of Jewish religion.
A beautiful picture, one very true and descriptive. And I don't want to take anything away from it's truth. But if the Jewish system was the primary focus of the event, why did Jesus immediately tie it to the power of faith?

I think this is yet another two-fold manifestation of God. Yes the withered fig tree exampled the death of the Jewish system, something the disciples had already caught on to. But it also showed that if we believe in Jesus instead, look at what we can do!

So it's not an either - or, God's word is bigger than all our earthly languages can contain.

Faith was to be in His propitiatory sacrifice and the shedding of His blood for the remission of sins, since the Jewish sacrificial system of the older covenant was to become obsolete and pass away with the institution of the new covenant with better promises based on His sacrifice as the perfect Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world.
