No but I think being in a godly Christian marriage would be great.
Are you ready to sacrifice yourself for your wife?
Or will she have to sacrifice herself to you?

Puffed up woman? Well, I've never been accused of that before. Maybe you have that impact on women.
Well being accused of not being a Christian because I believe in literally living according to scripture seems pretty puffed up.

You're saying that it's not Christian to live according to all of God's scripture. The O.T. is full of lessons to learn, especially when the N.T. reinforces them.

It seems like if you make a post saying to cling to God's Word and make Him Lord, you'll get people giving thumbs up.
Then minutes later when you give scripture to live by, those same people will be giving thumbs up to people who are calling you an idiot for taking it literally.

Can't we agree, if everyone in the world lived a more biblical life, things would be a lot better?

God over Christ.
Christ over man.
Man over woman.

That's the optimal arrangement. Feminism is not from God.

I also quoted Ephesians 5 like you just did. Do you think the women in this thread hurling insults would do so towards a husband? Modern women would. God-fearing women wouldn't.

I think we found the problem. Dude cant get a lady hahaha.

Well I would honestly just tell everyone to stop feeding this troll.
If you read his answers to me in other threads, he hates Israel, hates the Jews, doesn't mind quoting the old testament though and now we know this dude is also a wifebeater, what an excuse of a man hitting women, punk.
What I said to this guy in another thread is turning out to be true, grown man yet a total brat.

How about you throw hands with men instead of women Zen? Lets get it. Catch this fade

I believe 2 people walking in Christ would make any sacrifice necessary for each other.

Should a man stop having authority over the woman he loves, just in case she complains and might be offended? That would be a sacrifice. What about when she starts having an affair and says she's leaving with the kids because only Chad treats her right?

Neither is misogyny.
Misogyny;
dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women.

Did you even use the right word?

Judging by the content of your previous posts, yes.

For example:
Modern women are horrible. I find it staggering that men don't beat sense in to women any more.

Feminism is not of God. That I agree with. What I don't understand is how you compare living according to scripture with beating your wife.

God punished those that were against Him, yes, but He's GOD! And I'm sure if greater minds that mine took you into a debate about specific instances where people were killed by His hand, or His plan, they'd be able to explain what the circumstances were.

The God I know is just, but He is also kind, gentle, patient and loving.

Hi, SeekingFamily

No, a wife is not an enemy.

Correction comes from love. Abuse doesn't.

A disobedient wife needs correction. Hitting someone for the sake of hitting them is abuse. Not the same thing.

I'm afraid this is going no where. You were apparently raised to see a wife as no more than lowly, disposable property. Nothing anyone says here will change that.

Hitting someone is never love.
You know what my father said while choking my brother until he turned bright red? He said he was doing it out of love and trying to make him a better child.

Abuse is never out of love, and hitting your wife is abuse. Do not ever take scripture out of context to try to make it say that abusing your spouse is okay. Abuse, and hitting your wife is NOT love.

I agree with you, God is love, kind and gentle and patient.

But when God does get angry at His people, He corrects them using unbearable punishments.

People even during Lord Jesus' time were living biblical lives, correcting children and disobedient wives.

The thought of hitting a child seems absurd these days, because it is the world view.

God's scripture says it's better to beat a child to correct them and drive the foolishness out of them so that they don't grow up and bring shame and calamity on their family and people. That's the point, people would rather choose bruises than death if they had knowledge of the 2 options.

Nobody is advocating abuse, it seems people are misinterpreting beating to mean being cruel and abusive.

Here's a different example, would you feed someone close to you lots of food until they weigh 600lbs and get stuck in a bed? Feeding them more unhealthy food is abusive. Sure, it feels good and looks supportive when they cry and beg you for more donuts and KFC, but it's harmful.

Is a person who starves them for a month until they are light enough to stand up and visit a doctor a cruel and abusive monster?

Revelation 3:19
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

You can correct someone without hitting them. Why don't you see this?

Yes, husbands are commanded to love their wives as Christ loves the church.

But that love has to be "tough" sometimes. :)

Hitting someone is never love.
God disagrees with you.

Proverbs 22:15
Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

Proverbs 23:13
Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.

Proverbs 23:14
Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

Proverbs 29:15
The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

It's true, you can. Modern women seem to need more than words, though.

'You think I need to change? Well you're an idiot and I don't agree with you'.

How do you correct someone who shrugs off words?
