Sometimes the abuse is emotional.

Im familiar with abuse and if you're playing the victim card now it wont work. Ive had too many family members and friends mistreated because of opinions like yours.Normally I wouldn't answer such foolishness but the scars that these women live with, physically and emotionally,no I will not sit by and let someone say there is nothing wrong with hitting a woman and say thats not abuse.

When any one likes to address the scripture in the OP as opposing it for what is written, be my guest.

As it is, those in opposition so far are joining social values of today's culture to change the word of God. That is not good.

But hey.. some churches are already doing it to accept believers to remain unrepentant of the sin of homosexuality, fornication, adultery, getting a divorce without the cause of chastity, masturbation, and whatever other works of the flesh that believers today are having a hard time seeing as a sin...

Signs of the times....

Hebrews 13:[SUP]7 [/SUP]Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.[SUP] 8 [/SUP]Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. [SUP]9 [/SUP]Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines.

Nobody argues the fact that women are to submit to their husbands. Now you answer my question above. How does that fit with this command?
1 Peter 5:5 (KJV)

[SUP]5 [/SUP]Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

Can YOU submit to your wife?

No No Don't run away. Just answer the question.

Just to be clear,I believe in speaking in tongues and I believe that if there is not someone to interpret what is being said the speaker is to remain silent within a church setting. If one prays in tongues they ought to do that quietly to themselves. And women are no more at fault for misusing tongues than men are.

So, just to get things a little more heated up, I'll throw this in. Wives submit yourselves to your hugsbands. Ok. Zen has been fighting about that forever......How does that command fit with this one?

Zen do you think you can be subject to your wife? Or is that a one way street?
If a wife pointed out to me that I was treating another Christian like something distasteful on the bottom of my shoe, I would hope I'd listen to her. Fortunately my God lets me know when something is displeasing to Him, and He has shown nothing but kindness and blessings to me.

It's shocking to know that I've seen Christians who consider themselves seasoned elders say that they'd like to see me be dragged behind a church and be beaten to a pulp by other Christians for believing in chastening an ungodly woman. Women who are too emotional to even formulate an argument or reply to the person they are angry at. Women too emotional to read and understand simple statements and proudly talk down to someone.

At least 2 Christians have said I should convert to Islam.

Even now, I feel God's grace and blessings, and not the feeling that I should submit to scornful and puffed up, abusive and hysterical women or mocking men who want to protect them.

When we have to give account of our words, I'll have to explain what I meant by my original comment. Where as the rest will have to explain why they'd want me to be beaten or even killed for living by my belief and why you talked down to me with scorn.

Elders are not emotionally abusive and they don't talk like teenagers. They don't mock young Christians for not having a girlfriend (fornication) and they don't brag about how many years they have been 'teaching' while acting like a woman who needs those same amount of years learning in silence (spoiler alert: like the bible says). Church elders don't get so enraged that they can't think straight and then slander and rail against someone for hours.

I submit to you that if you consider yourself a church elder and you've lost your composure, you may be in need of some self-reflection.

I think it was not God's plan to have War woman against men. They should be One! Because of sinfall this oness is destroyed. Man and wife have to suffer for we can read in Genesis 3. What we have since this time we also can find today in our World. Man dominate in a way about woman they not should. And woman fight against it in a way the should not do. And the Peak of that is the gendermainstreaming we find today coming. The role of man and woman is clear defined in the word of God. But it is ignored and fit to the time Spirit! We should recognize that the time Spirit always is leading us in a false direction because he is from this world and this why the enemy of God! So whom we are follow?

Well maybe you should consider what you have said. What gives you the right to chastise anybody, much less a woman? You do not have that authority.
While its not "Christian" to suggest you be taken behind the church for a 'chastising' I would suggest that the World system is not 100% wrong. Any man who would hit a woman needs a kick in the family jewels. From all the women in the world. (That's why they want you beaten)

You yourself talk as though you consider yourself as a mature Christian yet you propose a course of action that was wrong in the time of the cavemen. (figuratively speaking here) The course you propose is completely against scripture.

Even now you know that God loves you. That does not mean He approves of your thinking. You need to line it up with the Word.
You say that "when we have to give account of our words" It would be much better for you if you were to judge yourself now and learn the proper way to do it, rather than wait till you stand before the Lord to answer for all the rotten words you speak now?

Frankly I do not have scorn for you. Not you. But I do despise the attitudes you display. They ARE deplorable.

Elders Hmmm Well since I do not attend any corporate church I do not consider myself an elder. I do know that I have gifts and responsibilities though. I do not normally say it but I am a healer, I am a seer. Elder? I don't know. Don't you have to be in a church for that? Elder? I don't know...I'm in my late sixties. Does that make me an elder? I've been a believer for forty five years with my God as my teacher. Does that make me an Elder...I honestly do not know. So please do not hold me to the responsibilities of an elder. I would no doubt fall flat on my face.

But, where do you cross the line? Can a healer be a scorner? Does a healer scorn? Does a scorner heal? Is it a spectrum or binary thing?

Psalm 1:
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Yada yada yada. Proverbs in the mouths of fools. Deal rightly with your sin and stop trying to change the subject to avoid it.

Where is it wrong to scorn sin? You have a bad attitude which I stand against. Like anyone else, you are not your sin. You spew hate. That's what I scorn. The hate.

I guess Jesus crossed the line?

Matthew 22:18
But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?

Matthew 23:13
But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
