I am working with a lesbian lady and I also know her partner. I have witnessed to her partner once before and they are both very young...the partner is also very very sick with Anorexia which I believe is yet another attack from the enemy and follows years of different methods of attack, each more severe than the last. This lady openly admits to the fact that when she sought refuge in a church and was prayed over theses evil spirits left her only to return each time she left. Because of her lesbianism she has since shunned the church and neither of them will have anything to do with Jesus or the church.

Now, God has given me a heart for these young ladies and I love them as I would my very own daughters. I especially like the one I work with as she is a lot of fun and we get on so well. I have also tried to witness to this one but she is even more negative towards what I say regarding the Bible....

Which really brings me to my main question...God says in His word that "man should not lie with a man as with a woman" or words to that effect...but does it say anywhere in the Bible that He sees Lesbianism in the same way? We assume He does but in fact does He, or do we simply assume He means the same for both sex's.

Please, I respectfully ask that simple opinions, Biblical points and scripture be used in reply. Please let's not shout anyone down or call people names because they see things a little differently than yourselves. I just want to reach these young ladies and bring them to Christ but I don't want to do it at the expense of what God means and wants....so I ask that we all respect others on this thread. Thank you.

Romans 1:26
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature

Lesbians are going to hell.

Unfortunately, for some people who are caught in a sinful lifestyle, it is almost impossible to convince them what God teaches. So often, they are completely closed to what is in God's Word.

I'm not saying you should give up on these ladies, but there comes a point where all we, as Christians, can do is pray for them and lead our own biblical lives -- show them love and respect -- and go about your own business, leading your life in as holy a manner as possible.

There is still hope. God can do miracles. They have issues as they have opened themselves up to demonic attack due to their sexual ways. I dare say when they are ready to repent they will be healed as the door will be closed to the enemies attack.
For now, all you can do is pray for them and be a kind example of how things should be.

Making it about a particular sin doesn't always work.. we all were the same no matter the sin.. Letting go of wanting any of it in our lives and accepting Jesus I think is a better approach...

Do not bring the issue up. People have to get to know Christ first and accept Christ. Telling a homosexual they are going to hell for being gay is wrong. People are going to hell for rejecting Christ, not because of how they sin. People are transformed over time, sometimes a very very long time, therefore the issue of homosexuality is a disscusion someone has to have with God themsleves and God will deal with it.

You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. Lev 18:22 RSV

If homosexuality is a sin for a man, it is a sin for a woman.

Here is a thought:

What if your bible group all try to find out what you struggle with, and help each other overcome it?

I mean, if I was in a group and someone told me what I was doing was a sin, but said nothing about any other sin, I'd feel I was under attack. ALL sin leads to death. If you all find something to work on, maybe it will knit you all closer together and help you all fix things in your lives? I bet many people (myself included) sin without even realizing or wanting to admit they do

Hello sister. Your beautiful new heart of flesh, that is not hard at all, is a joy to see. Here is a post from a very mature sister in the Lord that has helped me dealing with these issues. I hope it speaks to you as well.

Tru dat my brotha! Actually, I've been pondering this situation with God for awhile and am hesitant to respond on here until I'm sure in my spirit that my post will line up with the Word. In the meantime, I'm reading all these various posts and feel something is missing... can't put my finger on it yet though.

I mean, when I was an alcoholic.. when I was a total pot head... when I lived to party and certainly looked the part.... when my mind was saturated with the world... my neighbor, a young blind Christian woman named Mary became my friend. I didn't know why because I wasn't worthy to be anyone's friend as I lived for myself.

Mary didn't preach, didn't try to force scripture down my throat, didn't point out my sins like I was a "filthy sinner" whom she was trying to save from hellfire. She was just this extremely joyful woman who was overflowing with exuberance and peace and.. (here's the clincher!) talked to Jesus like He was standing next to her. Every time I saw her walking her little doggie up the sidewalk, she was talking to Jesus and thanking Him for giving her sight. She was a blind girl. But she was praising the Lord for loving her and letting her see clearly. (Ok, now I'm crying my eyes out remembering that.) \:)/ Glory to God!

But when Mary talked to me, she just became my friend. I started asking questions about Jesus. Something in my heart (the Holy Spirit, of course) told me I was missing something, I was not whole, I was dark inside and I knew it just being in Mary's presence. She never told me I was lost without the Lord, I KNEW IT!

So you see my plight here. I can't point a finger or throw rocks at others. I don't know how to react to Bruce Jenner's situation. All I know is he ain't happy with himself or with life. Anyone who has to keep trying to win the world's approval does not approve of themselves in their own heart. Nor do they believe God approves of them. So I'll pray and ask the Lord to let Bruce know how much Jesus Christ yearns for him to be set free in his mind and to find rest in the Father's arms of love.

Hey Sister,

We have found that telling the, their sin of homosexuality is sending them to hell will never work.

We have found that many women in this lifestyle are not in it for the lust of same sex satisfaction. In fact, many female homosexuals have a greater hurt and brokenness that needs addressed first. Many were sex trafficked by their single mothers to men and even women. The most common they were sexually and physically abused male relatives, including their Fathers, step-fathers and had a passive mother that stood by and let it happen. Many had Mothers who would do anything to keep Mr. Wrong in her life, including 3 ways sex with their boyfriend, daughter and even same sex between mom and daughter.

When Jesus heals the greater hurt and brokenness the homosexuality usually stops instantly.

Mercy, love and truth reach those trapped in this lie of the enemy...

The Church should stop assuming they all are debased and immoral and ask the Spirit to show them the greater brokenness and how to heal that. Humanity's brokenness matters to God, so it should also matter to us...

Homosexuality is the easiest sin for Christians to pick on because it is a sin most aren't afflicted with and it's an easy one for most people not to commit. Start bringing up coveting though and Christians will get very wishy washy and divided on the issue as to what is and what isn't coveting.
The states that download the most pornography are the "bible belt" states. Divorce, bankruptcy, drug addiction and alcoholism, all suffer the same numbers in the church as in the world. But if you're queer, off to hell you go. Sad that they are immediately condemned for a sin that was forgiven on the cross, just like the rest.

Until the church in the USA deals with their own fornication issues, they have no business trying to deal with the homosexuality issues of others outside the church.

this is scripture, man should not lay with man, and woman should not lay with woman. God calls it an abomination to him. we were not made to be that way. I know what the problem is with this, but people fight me tooth and nail to justify and excuse themselves. A christian that don't preach or teach God's word is good for nothing in the kingdom. the truth of the matter is that his word is the truth.

Amen.

The log and the speck.

If we spent more time pointing people toward the work of Jesus, focus on God's love, get em saved, instead of condemning them for their sin. If we then just watched the Holy Spirit do His work (He did promise to finish the work He started). That might help some folks.
