When people feel attacked. Particularly when someone tries to justify abuse. There are people here that have been abused and when some idiot tries to use the Bible as their defense thats disturbing to those that have been abused. Then when people try to defend his stupidity it makes it all the worse for those that have suffered. And I for one will stand for them,even if it does get me banned.

I can stand the heat,just if I said what I really thought to some of these trolls Id be banned seven times over. And its rather different for a man. When someone says a women just needs to shut up and when she doesn't she needs a slap you can either agree or disagree,if a woman speaks against that shes called a lesbian feminist. And Im gettin real tired of it lately.

All valid points. I guess I just hate when people pm me saying they are wanting to leave,especially sisters. And Ive heard that a lot lately. I think men can get in the heat and argue and walk away and it doesn't bother them,but I think it sticks with women. Especially when it gets as disrespectful as the post Im talking about. Maybe it will never change but Im hoping that if we discuss it enough,change will come.

No doubt that person is out of line.
If you go to his profile page, you can "Add to Ignore List" and
his posts will not be visible to you except when people quote him.
If everybody would ignore and stop quoting him,
his posts would virtually disappear from this forum.
No need to say what you really think or engage jerks like this at all.
You can't change them, you only waste time and cause yourself unnecessary stress.

An assumption being made -- that the men doing the bullying are that aggressive all the time. It's usually backhanded, not fisted. Passive-aggressive. They deflect anything a woman says or simply ignore her.
Notice the ratio for men to women specifically on the BDF. It looks like a military base on purpose. We're still in child status there -- "Children should be seen, not heard." But the Christian version of that is called "submitting." What a woman says shouldn't be taken too seriously because they should be submitting, not talking.
So which women are left? The ones who will buy that right after we buy a mansion for a dollar.
The problem is the women who were raised to believe we're supposed to submit to any man, the ones who were abused, and the ones who are new in Christ don't know they're being bullied into that. Which brings even more women stuck into the tar pit while the bullies are in it for a donnybrook.
And it's not just women. Those new in Christ, the young, and the unsure, all see the bullies as "the pillars in the community" simply because they know a lot of verses, they talk a lot and no one says much against what they say, and they're adults. Meanwhile, the intelligent and kind people leave BDF all together so the bullies get exactly what they want -- full control of the donnybrook!
That's the heat. AND it's a good marketing plan, or this site would have folded years ago.
