Fires in BC

Our province is burning down! We had a very dry spring, and now the weather has turned incredibly hot. There are over 300 fires burning right now, 14,000 evacuated, complete towns, others threatened, two airports burned, major road closures, including the TransCanada and the main road to northern BC.

I am not personally threatened by the fires. We live on the edge of a city that had a bad forest fire in 2003. Not much left to burn, including the dead fall, which is gone.

But I am terribly allergic to smoke, and I woke up with a bad asthma attack this morning, I've been resisting the ER. I am taking my asthma drugs every 3 hours and prednisone. Feeling not good, O2 is very low.

Pray for rain. It is not in the forecast, just high 90's F or 30's C. We need a lot of rain, but no lightening. That is what started a lot of the fires, besides people throwing cigarette butts on the ground.

Last year it was Fort McMurray and this year it is us again!

I'll pray you get all that Virginia rain, I'm tired of cutting grass.
 
Dear Lord, please protect Angela from the bad side effects of smoke that effects her asthma. Also we ask that you would extinguish these 300 fires by sending a deluge of rain.


We also pray for protection of lives Lord. And during this trial by nature, I pray it would get the attention of those who are lost - that they'd seek you during this challenge to their lives and the safety of loved ones and their possessions.


In Jesus' name, Amen.

Please add my prayers to yours for God to quench the fires in British Colombia.
 
Lord please control the situation and stop the further damage being done by the fire to the people and property. Lord let you please send the rain and give relief to the people. we also pray for Angela53510, please protect her from the effects of this fire and bless her health. Lord we as your sons and daughters agree together with this prayer, please hear and Bless. In Jesus Righteous name, Amen!

I didn't realize you were from b.c. I recall my younger days in the interior when i lived
in the okanagan it was always so dry and there was hardly a Summer with no fires. I
live in the lower mainland now and have for many years but hearing about those types
of fires really touches my heart...God bless you for the post.
