Most of us have read the Bible cover to cover, with deeper understanding; but there are some passages in the Bible that still amaze or baffles me.

For example: 2 Kings 3:26-27New International Version (NIV)

26 When the king of Moab saw that the battle had gone against him, he took with him seven hundred swordsmen to break through to the king of Edom, but they failed.

27 Then he took his firstborn son, who was to succeed him as king, and offered him as a sacrifice on the city wall. The fury against Israel was great; they withdrew and returned to their own land.

Post yours below:

Ezekiel 23:20 (NIV)

There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses.

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Even some Christians don't believe the words in Genesis, see the flat earth thread.

Well I will be now!!!

LOL..if you do that while drinking coffee...there is a good chance you will go to purgatory until you atone for all your "many sins".....:rolleyes:

( can you see how one sin leads to another one? )

My goodness...all those last exchanges made me laugh out loud. Thanks for bringing out the joy in me!

Being in the field of Sexual Deviancy Modification, it kind of tickles me at all of the Christian prudes who want to act all horrified and indignant at the mention of the subject. Like, "You can't talk about THOSE things." It makes me want to ask them if they have even read the Bible.

I am very intrigued, how exactly does Genesis 1:1 prove that the earth is flat? I fail to see it.

Psalm 53

1
The fool says in his heart,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt, and their ways are vile;
there is no one who does good.

2
God looks down from heaven
on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand,
any who seek God.
3
Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.

4
Do all these evildoers know nothing?

They devour my people as though eating bread;
they never call on God.
5
But there they are, overwhelmed with dread,
where there was nothing to dread.
God scattered the bones of those who attacked you;
you put them to shame, for God despised them.

6
Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
When God restores his people,
let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

[h=1]2 Kings 2:23-24King James Version (KJV)[/h]23 And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

A bit harsh for a simple name calling LOL.

I still think of the one where God told a prophet, I don't remember which, where God told him to take a harlot for his wife. And when she'd cheat on him with other men, to take her back. I was so confused. It's the same prophet that God had him do stuff like dig through the wall of his house and take his stuff out, because that's what was gonna happen to Israel being taken captive.
