It takes time to know for sure. And to see what God puts on your heart. For some people it IS bad. For others it doesn't bother them. If you're feeling bad then perhaps cut it out for a while. There are All Kinds if Christian genres out there. Everything from hymnal music to metal. Perhaps find alternatives.

Yeah, 90% of what I listen to now is considered "Christian music" There is so much variety and talent in the Christian music industry, now, you can really enjoy music and worship at the same time. Not telling you you can only listen to that kind of music, but just encouraging you to check out some new music.

If you want recommendations, let me know Wendi :)

Anything is okay as long as it doesn't cause you to break one of the Lord's commandments. However, there are a lot of things out there that will tempt you do just that.

I think the Bible makes it pretty clear that something like that is a person-by-person decision. If you're feeling guilty about it, or if it is taking away time you should be spending with God of somehow taking you farther from Him, maybe time to take a break from it for a while.

Just take those old records off the shelf
I'll sit and listen to 'em by myself
Today's music ain't got the same soul
I like that old time rock 'n' roll

I guess that my salvation may be questionable. :)

Your church doesn't even do "church music?"

I admit to not being fond of most Christian music, but there are some songs I still like.

Mostly I'm a 1970's music kind of listener though, (including in my Christian music taste.) I'm not going to hell over my music preferences though. (I might never join the 21st century either, but not going to hell for that either.)

Listen to any music you feel inclined to listen to.
Let me fix that for you.
...Except for Japanese opera and rap. Not because they are sinful. It's just that they aren't music either and hurt the ears.

"Thouhast knoweth saving grace, by the bluegrass genre alone. Anything else that hath not banjo shan't be reckoned as righteous."
