Hi stonesoffire,

Thanks for your response. :)

I can only speak to what I've experienced. So I'm not misunderstanding the claim it part of what they believe.

Groups that I was associated with are under the Kenyon influence where you speak reality into existence. For instance, my friend speaks, claims her daughter is saved so she is. We just don't see it yet.

She claims, speaks healing. She won't even verbalize that she has certain diseases because that means she'll have them. Well she does have them.

Maybe your church doesn't claim in this way, but just in my small town, the many WOF churches do claim things into reality. IT's the power of their words and the power of their faith that does it. They have faith in their own faith as if it has the power to make things happen.

The ones who don't do this are the Charismatic churches that are not WOF.
Actually, DesertRose, we aren't in a church. We are waiting to bring ministries to our area. Waiting for churches to open up to receive them that is.

But, we follow ministries that aren't in our area now.

We must of been posting at the same time. :)

I don't agree that we can take all the Word and apply it and it sounds like your friends do this. I know others do too, but for me a personal promise is needed and I wait for that to manifest. It kind of divorces one from relying on Holy Spirit to just say all the word is for me.

When I know He has spoken and this is not just in my mind...but in my spirit...then I know that I know.

This way...no confusion...and I am confident then.

My view.

I know that things have gone overboard in manifestations. But, God will correct. And then too...we have lying spirits that want to tear down ministries that are true, and misrepresent them.

We need to guard against all these things.

Bill Johnson is not WOF but he is dangerous....they are perhaps more modern day Gnostic than anyone sees or that they even realize....they are the ones that call the prophetic gifting "a Prophetic reading" and believe in sozo healing rooms....they use terms of witchcraft everyday and seem to not even notice it...or know it and do not care...

I just want to know if you mistakenly stated something about Bill Johnson. Can you admit you made a mistake?

And it wouldn't be the first time that there are those who have done this.

If he is not, he is pretty close.

His Sozo prayer rooms are a concern.

Bill Johnston Jr of Bethel announced last year at their conference and on live TV, he battled with alcohol abuse and prescription drug abuse and he engaged in the stuff because of the "pressure" of ministry work!?!?!? Say what?......he suffered a mental breakdown 2 year ago...he was booed when he said that his drinking had turned to sin and then said...hey it was sin to me...if you still want to have a glass of wine , shot of whiskey or a few beers after church go ahead....much to the delight of Bethel churches and the school....
It was Brian Johnson. Is there a Bill Johnson JR?

Nothing found online but of Brian Johnson, who is involved with their music. He and his wife Jenn I think her name is.

Perhaps you mistakenly said the wrong name? Plus whoever gave you that info...added a lot more to the real story.

So Sorry meant Brian Johnson, not his Dad Bill....Yeah I blew that one, my mistake...but what he said was documented by another poster...

I watched the real story live stones and DVR'd it....and re-watched it....then mysteriously all references to him being booed for stating surrendering to alcohol is not the right thing do and the people booing him and then cheering him on when he said if they still wanted to drink they could was removed from every copy of the broadcast....ir was re-0aired a few weeks later and not one poriton of tha testimony was on that rebroadcast copy....

Scuttlebutt behind the scenes suggested Marcus Lamb tried to save them and edit and censor out the stuff....who knows...but it was not just a testimony of being delivered, he seriously bowed to the pressure of the audience and said if you want to drink.... do it, because we all need to relax after a worship set....

His prophetic readings are a sham as well...you fill out a card that gives the so-called prophet what we call leading information about you.....its witchcraft and plain and simple...

Several years ago we were mentoring a young Christian couple that left and went to BSSM[bethel school of supernatural ministry]....they came back just completely and utterly messed up spiritually, emotionally, physically....just totally messed up...

Those sozo room encounters are evil....both told us they had to experience an encounter of sozo....that is when they knew something was wrong....people were saying they had demons and all sorts of other things....look at the terms they use...encounter, experience, readings, etc....

Ironically there is a demon principality by the name of ZoZo....his domain is the Ouija boards....go figure...

I absolutely could not agree more!!

Saddens me to no end, I am very familiar how the occult has entered the certain denominations/churches, the enemy just never slows down.

This gentleman has done a lot of work examining Bill Johnson and the NAR, he is not a sensationalist but very good at slowly and objectively examining what is happening in various movements.

If you have time it is a very good and informative read.

Brian went through a time that I call the dark night of the soul. I did too many years ago. And came to the same answer.

It's intimacy with the Lord.

I don't doubt you viewed a video where he may of used medicines or even alcohol to escape the torment he was going through. It is terrible. But, it's only a step to enter into a greater walk with the Lord.

We do try to escape things by ignoring them. I had an alcoholic husband that I loved with all my heart. But, couldn't go through the abuse of that and crashed too.

His video I posted is how he handled it. And how God healed.

I don't think you guys that are against Bill Johnson actually understand his ministry. I love to hear him preach.

But, that is your choice...I wont' be part of it.

people just do not want to believe or think about the possibility that things are not biblical

the first step in getting free, is admitting you are deceived
