So where do you draw the line in the sand on faithful and unfaithful servants? What do YOU believe it means to BELIEVE the gospel? (Romans 1:16)
oh my... you ask much of a servant... let my Lord decide such things.

Peter said he would not go away because the Messiah had Words of eternal life.

John 6

66From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. 70Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? 71He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve

There is nothing amiss in me in the sight of our Father if I always resort to the teaching of Jesus Christ directly from Him.

All are aware we are taught thata we will learn from God, correct? Why then fault me for preferring the last word from Him?

I hope you are not afraid you are not also invited to do so, because you are.

This has been addressed by me throughout my posts within this thread and in many others. It sounds as though you are looking for contention, and this is not the way of teh family in Christ..... You should well know where I stand on these points of learning from Jesus Christ. I bid you go to my posts. The responses are already there just for you and for all.
I have not read ALL of your posts throughout CC and I'm looking for a direct answer to my direct question from post #36.

That just goes to show that you those who are TRULY disciples of Jesus continue in His Word (John 8:31).

John 14

5If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. 21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
25These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

What do you believe it means to "keep" (Greek word - tereo) His commandments?

"You are quick to anger," one says about a doubter.

"You, my friend sound very antagonistic," says another.

"I'd like some direct answers," I say. But they are not forthcoming. Asking the wrong questions, which go to the heart of the matter, are found to be antagonistic? Why not just state your views, unvarnished, for everyone to see. Simple answers to simple questions. The TRUTH is short and simple. Convoluted and sweetly contrived words are the tools of deception. Peter is one of the twelve, right? I have his views on bacon right here in my Bible. Can I have yours? Or do I not understand the plain language in the Bible and need a rabbi to spell it out for me?

Luke 11

And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. 28But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it

Well, in lieu of direct answers, I say: Everyone is free to do as they'd like. But if at the end of the age, the locusts pop out and start once again trying to ensnare us and yoke us to the law of Moses, then that requires a direct rebuttal. Plain and simple speech was good enough for Martin Luther. And it was good enough for the Apostle Paul, whose authority is higher than anyone alive today. But these days, I guess Buddha-talk is supposed to reign supreme?

1Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) 2And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:

3Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: 5To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

6I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

10For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

11But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

BUT BY THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST.

Is Paul lying on Jesus here? Or is it instead others who are suspect?

You are clutching at something and you know what it means to keep... as do I.

If you are resorting to such methods then you will continue to be blinded by knowledge that works against you... it is sad to witness but you will not humble yourself and receive the Truth.

Did Martin Luther share anything about Revelation to you?

If you are referring to the Book of Revelation, I do not believe I have read any of Martin Luther's writings on it. If you have any to recommend, I wouldn't mind seeing them. I actually do not know entirely too much about Luther, other than that he was bold and straightforward...and not crazy enough to accept an invitation to Rome.

I like him because he apparently spoke his mind, with no regard for political economy or personal safety. If you are curious about interesting thoughts on Revelation, I can recommend Newton's short paper. I'm not saying that he is right about everything, but no one can doubt that he was a certified genius. I also read a little of the Matthew Henry commentary on it, and I am surprised at how insightful he was. I think the Christian age ripened to its best in Europe PRIOR to the age of enlightenment..

It's interesting that you can't even answer a simple question.
