As far as Hebrews, it really was between me and Dcon.
Kind of loses it's Whole purpose with Stone, since she post A LOT of scripture the way she's supposed to.
Dcon never does, or VERY RARELY. So, I'm starting to wonder if he really understands it.

As I was pondering my thoughts this morning I was thinking about Jesus carrying the cross. Crown of thorns on his head, the beating he had taken before.

I remember watching Jesus of Nazerath on TV.
When it came to the cruxifixtion it was like "Ow that hurts"

Like a splinter in the finger.

When I came to realise it was six inch thick nails driven into his body whilst blood dripped down his bruised beaten face that horrified me.

I used to think that it horrified Jesus.

I myself think that the physical for Jesus was not the problem.
When he said "If possible please let this cup pass me by" I don't think it was the physical beating and cruel death that was about to happen. He knew it was going to happen.

To me what anguished Jesus more was separation from the Father.

He and the Father were together from the beginning and for a short period of time they would not be.
That would have Jesus and the Father so much. The sky went black and they couldn't be together.

How painful?

God with Adam "Adam where are you?

Jesus with God, "Where are you?

I agree, imagine, all of the sin of all of the world for all time being laid upon Him in one instant. And when we talk of sin, think of the unimaginable and multiply that by the unimaginable.

The separation and the loneliness and the full weight of that is truly unfathomable, and when I think of that moment, it makes me realize that the magnitude of our sin, shows us the magnificence of our Savior.
What compares to that?

i wasn't defending Dcon. You posted the request for anybody to step up to the plate. I stepped up.

What simple statement are are you trying to make to him? Who knows, I might agree with you. Not that it really matters who I agree with. Only matters that God agrees.

One thing that always amazes me....those who devalue the inspired words of Jesus through PAUL as if they do not have equal weight and or more influence seeing how Jesus was born, lived and died under the LAW which ratified the NEW Covenant which PAUL covers.....

Amen, Because Paul's purpose was to fully explain to the Church what Jesus had just accomplished!! Its so freaking simple!! oops there's that word again!

haha..its tough to change the minds of those entrenched in their religious beliefs, (although mine certainly was) I hope that an unsaved person seeking will see the Love of God in some of what we say!!
