Ok what place, natural location I guess you would say at Christmas time do kiwis celebrate with a bbq? and footwear is likely to be worn at this "place'' hahah Im laughing already

Compared to many other countries in the world, the US is pretty wealthy. Even the poorest people here often live better than the majority of people in less well off countries.

Yup
Same with Norway
(The problems tend to arise from the fact that people are poorer than the people around them, so there are social gaps.)

and it is difficult to compare countries
If Joe in country A earns 10 dollars, and Fritz in country B earns (coverted) 20 dollars, that doesn't have to mean Fritz is richer, as the cost of living might be more than twice as high.
