No biggie....the Pharisees failed to acknowledge guilt as well.......just own it...you made a statement without the facts, judged a whole group of people saying their faith has never been tried and you are not in the position to make that call......
We humans are soooo INSECURE and NEEDY to know the truth BEYOND a shadow of a doubt (and then some) because we live in an uncertain ugly dangerous world where at every turn there are circumstances and events happening beyond our control. We have LEARNED that if we don't take care of ourselves., if we don't check under every rock and turn over every possibility in any given scenario in life that NO ONE else will do it for us. And if we don't do our homework., it will cost us BIG TIME emotionally/physically AND financially. WE WILL PAY because life and experience has taught us that.
If we don't want to be ripped off., For instance., we have to get detail after detail from companies we do business with like DISH or Verizon or Comcast or the gas and electric Companies or the other service companies we must do business with. We have to GRILL the sales person about what the offer REEEEALLY is before we agree to sign on the dotted line.
We know that unless we get it down in writing OR leave an opening for negotiations., we WILL BE taken advantage of. We have learned we MUST go to EXTREMES when discussing issues about life and love and faith and politics and relationships. It's about fear. We are fearful we will be fooled and tricked into something because it's happened so many times before in our dealings in life. And that the end result was we were left holding the bag. So we KNOW we will be left holding the bag again and we WON'T GO THERE again.
When we meet people., (if we have this mindset) ... we will grill those people and have to prove them because we have learned in business or personally., fool me once...shame on you.. fool me twice shame on ME. Now-a-days there is no shame on those who fool us the first time because many people don't have a working conscience so we pay for their callousness too as well as our foolishness when dealing with them. So we are even MORE wary.
I say all this here on this post to say ultimately; THAT IS NO WAY TO LIVE. But it IS the way most people live and most Christians too. And for those of us who are no longer living that way., we understand the mindset. We understand what is at stake. The losses and the defeats we were unable to recover from. So without a NEW mindset., a mind RENEWAL., we will continue in our extremes because we NEVER want to be deceived and pay the prices emotionally, financially and physically that have come in all their forms through out our lives already.
The problem is we become our own caretakers. We have learned from the world that dependence on self is a "calling" and we must answer. But.....the renewed mind in Christ has found they have to DISPOSE of that mindset and allow JESUS to take our lives. When we need wisdom we go to Him. When we make mistakes and someone does take advantage of us., we allow Jesus to be our caretaker and allow Him to restore what was taken from us and what we thought was lost to us.
Whether it be emotionally or financially. In time., we have learned by experience of watching Him in our lives HERE ON EARTH when we trusted Him...He HAS restored what was taken and gave us back even more than we first had. And we will also learn to trust Him so we can go forward without the STRESS of fearing what may happen next. Of who or what may come attack us in our lives emotionally., physically and financially. All things we have totally become caretakers of before but now as believers MUST daily keep giving all that over to Jesus to guard for us. And He will when we give it over to Him and not before.
But many Christians (sorry to say) will never take that step and will continue to care-take their own lives and the lives of their loved ones NO MATTER the cost of stress on their frail human bodies. Why? because they will not believe Jesus wants to and will DO that for them. Many will die of sickness of the mind and body because of that non negotiating mindset that causes them to NEVER give over the care taking of their lives.
But that is what it takes to live by faith and to have all that Jesus died to give us. Until we do., we will live a sub standard Christian life of our religious mindsets that actually run right along the same lines as our moral mindsets of human ability. Those Christians will not step out in faith., because to fall (they believe) will be the end of them just like paying a bill or not paying a bill., and they can't allow that to happen. They cannot chance it.
So they work out in their minds ALLLLL the possibilities of "what ifs" in their lives should they actually try and believe Jesus (to that extent) and IF He doesn't do it., how will they feel? How will they recover after such a loss emotionally, physically and financially????., after such a catastrophe of faith crashed and crushed??? HOW WILL THEY SURVIVE????
So they stop,..... and turn around,..... back to their old way of care-taking and old way of thinking.

We should be able to give out our beliefs - give the scriptures of why we believe that and leave it at that. These personal attacks are not from Christ in us brethren.
No one can "make" someone else believe - it must be by revelation of the Holy Spirit because that is His job of revealing the things of Christ to us.
If people are malice-filled and slander us - then just ignore it and don't interact with them anymore.
It serves no purpose but to cause strife and division if we keep interacting in this manner.

they put jesus on the cross, because of the word meaning to hypocrisy.

if some, cannot define scripture correctly, how do you define, what love is. etc
