Amos 8:11-12 (CJB)

[SUP]11 [/SUP]“The time is coming,” says Adonai Elohim,
“when I will send famine over the land,
not a famine of bread or a thirst for water,
but of hearing the words of Adonai.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]People will stagger from sea to sea
and from north to east, running back and forth,
seeking the word of Adonai;
but they will not find it.

You have all heard the story: A man saved all his money to buy a ticket on the ship to America. He wanted to start a new life. So for several years he saved all he could and finally he had enough to buy his ticket. He rushed down to the ticket office and purchased it just in time to catch his ship. He stayed in his cabin and ate crackers and cheese, which was all he was able to buy after he had paid for his ticket. By rationing his crackers and cheese he made it to port without starving. When the ship had docked, and everyone was getting off the ship, the captain stopped him as he started for the gangplank and asked him. "Sir, I have not seen you since you boarded. Are you all right? Did you have a good voyage? Maybe we offended you in some way?" "No no!" The man replied. "It was a fine voyage, I had no more money after buying my ticket so I stayed in my cabin and ate only crackers and cheese that I was able to get before we left port. That way I was able to come to America." The captain looked horrified. "Sir, sir! Surely you knew? The meals and entertainment, everything you might have wanted, was part of your fare!!

John 8:47 (CJB)

[SUP]47 [/SUP]Whoever belongs to God listens to what God says; the reason you don’t listen is that you don’t belong to God.”

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 (CJB)

[SUP]10 [/SUP]He will enable him to deceive, in all kinds of wicked ways, those who are headed for destruction because they would not receive the love of the truth that could have saved them. [SUP]11 [/SUP]This is why God is causing them to go astray, so that they will believe the Lie. [SUP]12 [/SUP]The result will be that all who have not believed the truth, but have taken their pleasure in wickedness, will be condemned.

John 8:44-45 (KJV)

[SUP]44 [/SUP]Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Matthew 6:30 (CJB)

[SUP]30 [/SUP]If this is how God clothes grass in the field — which is here today and gone tomorrow, thrown in an oven — won’t he much more clothe you? What little trust you have!

Matthew 13:58 (CJB)

[SUP]58 [/SUP]And he did few miracles there because of their lack of trust.

John 12:37-38 (CJB)

[SUP]37 [/SUP]Even though he had performed so many miracles in their presence, they still did not put their trust in him, [SUP]38 [/SUP]in order that what Yesha‘yahu the prophet had said might be fulfilled,
Adonai, who has believed our report?
To whom has the arm of Adonai been revealed?”

Enough scripture for now. Suffice it to say, that Crackers and Cheese Christians are crackers and cheese because they choose not to believe Gods word for more than basic salvation.
The question though needs an answer....If you will not believe God for healing that He promised, and you will not believe God for provisions that He promised......How can you believe Him for anything else? If His Word is not true on one single thing,......How can you trust the rest of it to be true?

You believe God or you are not of Him. Simple as that.

I believe we are seeing this dearth of the Word in churches today.

And how do you not know that him not healing our physical wounds is in fact a kind of healing in of itself? There are many kinds of wounds as well as many kinds of healing's, the body is merely flesh and bones but the inner wounds of a persons heart are far more profound and sometimes he does indeed use the physical wounds and sickness to heal the inner ones.

I do not believe in the wof and I may ask for healing and if I receive great if not then I trust him, however it's more important to me that others receive the healing they need which is not always the physical

Here we go again with this lack of faith will determine your fate nonsense. Because you read the back of the book does that make you wiser than those in Matthew 13:58 ?
Now the lack of faith is that in what Jesus could do or who he was?
Some back in the day saw only a young Rabbi turning the world they lived in upside down or in true teaching right side up.
The measure of faith that you have is a gift from God so how could God challenge himself and why would he?
If faith comes by hearing and that by the word of God could the possibility be in the lack of hearing?
No man seeks after God in his natural state so tell me why was there a lack of faith.
Now I serve a God of the impossible, with no limits to his power, nothing is out of his reach, who came and sacrificed himself for all.

Jesus feeding the five thousand.....did he ask.... Do you believe I can do this? How about the raising of Lazarus how they all said that if Jesus was timely he would not have died...... Did he ask....do you believe I can raise him now?

The Roman officer got it right when he did all you need is to speak the word.......and it was so.

This doctrine of faith vrs fate is made up by power hungry money hungry people who have used the subject (person to be healed) as a scapegoat.

The Lord is able and willing if it is his will to do so. He doesn't need our faith to do this.

Not getting healed is healing? Is that like not having dinner is having dinner? My friend...Healing is healing. If you need it, it's paid for and it's yours. It doesn't matter if its physical or mental or spiritual. By Jesus stripes you WERE healed!
If you don't believe that then having faith in Him is not having faith in Him, its just big talk. You either believe Him or you do not. The world has shades of grey. The Word does not.

Really? Which scripture is twisted? I think only the scriptures that managed to stick in your tiny little mind. Now that's par for the course.
I think they stuck sideways. Just bang your head on the floor a few times, you'll feel better.

Man! I think this is hilarious. You post scriptures, direct from the bible and they are twisted. What kind of mind would think that? What kind of intellect can think only of attacking another for speaking his mind? Not a Christian mind.

It was because I wasn't healed physically that others were healed internally so yes it is a kind of healing

It sounds like you're saying the others were healed internally because you were not healed physically? So you're saying that you paid for their healing? Help me out her Blain. That can't be what you're saying here.

You see it is only because of how damaged my mind and body is and because of the testimony of my past and how my mind and body was brought to such a state that others were helped. Because of all I went through I understand pain and suffering that others wouldn't and that alone is a tool of healing but the way God has used it so vastly to help others amazes me to this day. There are inner wounds and inner bruises that sometimes can only be healed by the suffering of others because sometimes we just need to know that we are not alone in our suffering.

Had I not gone through all I did and had I been healed of it then I would not understand the suffering others who have gone through it and thus could not help them as God has done. Faith is not a currency to get what you want, I have faith in him not in my healing because I trust him and his decision and it is because of this that I praise God for my sufferings because he has and continues to use them for the healing of others. You claim to know how faith works but it seems you have a lot to learn my friend

I do know that more people were helped by a story of victory than were helped by a story of failure with a good attitude. You are healed in all ways if you will reach out and take it. Jesus paid for it. Although I'm glad people were helped I am not impressed with anyone throwing in the towel.
I am fighting some ugly things in my body too right now, because of my life's work. I beat the hell out of my body working in all climates and weather conditions. The Word says I am healed and I will see total healing in my old bod. I don't care how old I am, I can have the bod of a teenager, almost. I'm not going to quit. And so can you. If you believe your Father for it.

Blain I'm not into knocking you at all. I am one who is drilled on succeed or succeed Failure in not an option. One who fails is not worth anything but to be beat on. You make your own choices and win or lose they are your choices. But if God says you can have something that belongs to you, not taking it is pure foolishness. and failure. That's how I was trained. If I offend you, please accept my apology.

You think I have thrown in the towel? The battle I fight is not about me or my body if it is his will then my body will be healed in due time until then it's the healing of others I care about. This is not something I expect you to understand but for me I honestly don't care if my body is ever healed though sometimes I will admit that I do ask. I care more about his will being done regardless if the answer is yes or no or wait, lack of faith in this wouldn't be because I wasn't healed it would be not trusting his answer even if we don't like it.
Believe it or not sometimes it takes more faith to trust him in the answer being no than it does for him to say yes, is it not by his stripes we are healed? Well I don't recall him healing the marks on his hands do you? to be healed it is not about the amount of faith you have to receive it it is about the faith you have in him and if for whatever reason he denies your request that doesn't mean it won't happen it simply means wait and the faith it takes to trust him in those instance is not one that comes easily, sometimes he will purposely deny our requests to build up our faith and trust in him. This is why I am the way I am, constantly being denied healing only made me trust him more which is strange because you would think it would have the opposite effect.

Unfortunately it takes time for us to come around to hear ALL the truth we need to hear as Christians while in this "Pilgrim land". I like the unfolding analogy. The truth of Jesus is unfolded gradually into our small meat brains as we are hearing and hearing the Word and learning how to hear the Holy Spirit and growing in our faith. We can't hear it all nor understand it all at once.

Take me for instance... For years our family went to church and were under the teaching of only part of the truth. We were taught that there was no healing in the atonement and so when any of us in the church got sick., we believed it was of God sending us sickness or allowing it and even death for a bigger lesson for our own good. We didn't know to pray against it as an attack from the enemy of our souls. That we had any power over that lie the way we have power over other lies he tries to throw at us. Or when he uses other people against us even. We knew how to pray over those things. But the loss of health? we didn't believe being in health was something Jesus paid for us to have or be.

We would not dare pray against what we believed God was doing so we always used the phrase "if it could be Thy will" We didn't know that IT IS HIS WILL and that the illnesses that came were due to a strategy of our enemy. Not only does our enemy mess with our minds but with our bodies. And we allow him to have an opportunity by not being aware of our enemies devices OR how to be in agreement with Jesus about healing. And not just about healing but about many other promises we have in Christ that we have not been taught or believed yet.

This is all a life long process we go through as believers in Jesus. And we learn by reading and hearing the Bible about the truth and walking in it. Being open to the Holy Spirit witnessing to our spirits. Being flesh and blood people we can't down load information like a computer. We have to go through the process. Even John prayed for believers to learn how to prosper and be in health in their bodies the way their spirits were in good health. in 3John2-3-4

"Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. 3. For I was very glad when brethren came and bore witness to your truth, that is, how you are walking in truth. 4. I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth."

IMO many of the Christian churches today and their leaders and teachers are to blame for this lack of teaching the whole counsel of God for so many years. But also., God has held me accountable for my not stepping out and believing He is good all the time regardless of the teaching I received to the contrary. His Word is right all the time. If God says it He means it. I can hold to it regardless of what is going on here on earth. We are responsible to not look to the right or to the left. But that is a tall order because the right and left are always before us while we are in this flesh body.

And the tribulations just keep on coming one on top of the other making the 2nd and 3rd and 4th worse than the 1st even. How can a person of mere flesh and blood re group in light of all that tribulation and confusion???? But I'm so thankful that His grace is sufficient even when time and pain and confusion and losses takes their toll on us. Even when it takes time for us to learn., He is there being patient and kind to us while we learn and go through learning how to have the kind of faith that lifts us up and out.

And we will see how He restores the years the locusts have eaten. His restoration is more than the losses. Just like with Job.

LOL My wife was just reading me one of those silly things "Five signs that you were emotionally neglected as a child." Blah! Just because I seldom feel any emotion. She says I need to make friends because I have never made any. Why? I've never been lonely. LOL She tries so hard! What a wonderful woman she is!

Your wife sounds very wise as well as wonderful!
:D She sounds like she knows you, loves you and has your number brother!! Although you may have had to learn the hard way in life and survived., not everyone has the same constitution you were born with. Some have died of loneliness while others learned to accept it, cope with it and even live in it and thrive. Some even get used to it and it's hard for them to get back into the whole people mingling thing. But it's not God's best for us.

People have the great capacity to learn to survive where they are when they can't change their situations. Like for instance those who are not healed. They live with the illnesses and adjust believing they are called to that. And God has even used us where they were and that is more than we even imagined. To try and learn a new way would mean our survival tactics were not the best and that God had more for us to learn. To even think that would undermine our present faith. Just like those of us who have learned to live without people for a long time. It feels uncomfortable to go out and relate with others again. We survived up until now., to learn something else might make us gravely ill and hopeless and kill us we think.

But it's not God's best to stay safe sometimes. We are called to get out of our comfort zones and learn more and trust Him more. This formula works in all areas of life for the believer.
:D

This runs very deep… there was about 400 years of silence but you are right the people had Torah, and the prophets, and the wisdom to live by. But today Christians want to throw all of Torah away say it is not for us. Today it is finished no more will ever be added to Scripture. Now, there are 66 Books all of it matters down to the very last node will be fulfilled.

:D

Interesting. I've had two safe zones. Jesus and my Lady. I still seem to live on the edge.
