Accept it. We ARE going to soon be at war with NK again. There is nothing that will prevent that. Hopefully, this time, we will have enough sense and ___s to end it, conclusively. It's going to soon happen with Iran, also.

Very likely. At least, 24 hours is all it would take to essentially cripple the entire NK military, and the remaining weeks would just be taking care of little pockets of resistance. If Trump allows the military to run the show the way Bush Sr. allowed Schwarzkopf to run Gulf War v.1, it could be done.
If it's gonna happen though, it's gotta be all-in or nothing. No "conditional response", no walking on egg shells. The dogs of war should be loosed off the chain and allowed to do what they do, and take care of the problem once and for all. The whole world will moan and complain and call America all kinds of things, but...haters gonna hate. Sometimes, diplomacy has to be delivered 500# at a time from 30,000 feet.
Your not the only one who wants to bug out a Times lol. I think a lot of people feel that way. No doubt this world is a huge mess. Filled with hate,anger, crybabies, slackers, addicts, etc... the devil is doing a fine job taking people away from God and having lack of morals.. I only pray that people find themselves and brains and morals before I am to old and broken to take care of myself not sure I trust anyone in this younger generation to be caring for me in my elder years. That is a dad thing to say.

North Korea has had three generations of lunatics. I have nothing good to say about any of them. I think they are pure evil. The difference now is that an evil dictator with an itchy finger on the button is President of the United States. They have Kim Jong Un, and we have Kim Jong Orange. They're both anti-Christian, lying, gossiping, backstabbing, perverted, corrupt, narcissistic, delusional cult leaders. They don't worship God. They worship themselves and have supporters who consider any form of criticism to be blasphemy against their supreme leader.
this article floats the idea of China staging a coup in North Korea and taking over the country, quoting an analyst who calls it "the least bad military option" presuming that if China, rather than the US were to strike, NK would presumably not retaliate against US allies in the region with its last gasps of military capability.

Well... I think it's common sense that China would rather take over NK than have the U.S. take over NK.

It would be pretty easy to fake aggression and war with NK. Think about it. One man playing the role of whatever leader is over there, add a lot of "news" reports, nobody can verify it because the country is pretty isolated... stir vigorously and serve to the American public.

Mattis is encouraging Trump to try to reach a diplomatic solution but it's fully prepared to employ military options if North Korea decides to make good on their threats.

North Korea is a backward, half starved nation on the other side of the world. They aren't remotely close to posing any sort of threat to America. All this talk of their military might is a joke. We should be exporting low priced grain to them to keep them from starving, instead of rattling our saber.
