I was debating posting on here today bc No one can comprehend the Christian journey I've been on. And often times I'm put down for it. I've been a Christian since 2001 and my journey included tons of struggles. One thing I thought was normal was that starting in 2007 I had this heavy lifted feeling but I thought everyone had that. That feeling lasted for 10 yrs, up until this past May when I felt God working on me again. This time he gave me an extremely light feeling but I still had something to grab onto. But the last 3 days, I started to feel even that light feeling going away and today, it's all gone so I feel I have nothing to grab onto and nothing to help me stay faithful

plz don't respond with god is always there whether u feel him or not but just put yourself in my shoes for a minute and think what might be going thru your mind. Say for 16 yrs, every second of everyday you felt something everyday of the year and then 1 day it was stripped away and it was gone. What would u think? How would u feel? Would it be easy for u to stay faithful or extremely difficult?

For me, extremely difficult which is why I really Really need prayers right now. This is a brand new thing for me and I'm not used to it. I'd really appreciate prayers.

Father God you are a refuge and strength for ManiaStar. we thank you for you goodness for her we pray bless ManiaStar to remain faithful to you and trust you in everything and in every situation. Lord we agree with this prayer, please bless your daughter ManiaStar, and let you be always glorified in her life. In Jesus loving name, Amen!

From what you have described I would feel lost and confused. I'm sure that it would be a real struggle to be faithful in the midst of despair. The story of Job comes to mind but even he was angry and questioned God. I have prayed for God to give you special restorative healing touch and to deliver you from the depression that has set in.

I just told my mom my mom what is going on and she said exactly what I didn't want to hear. She said no matter how I feel, god is right next to me.

Thats not what what I want to hear. I am feeling depressed, angry, pissed off bc of this.

I read that verse one of you posted. I'm trying to lean on him but now he did this to me after all these years. I feel like he totally dropped me in the middle of a desert to fend for myself. I haven't felt Anything like this since before God found me, nearly 17 yrs ago. I have always felt something. I don't know what to do with myself. I just don't know what to do. At least when I had both that heavy lifted feeling and the light lifted feeling, I could stay faithful without an issue, but this??? I don't know what to do. I'm trying to stay positive but it's extremely difficult and I'm extremely upset and unhappy. This is negative, not a positive change. I want that lifted feeling back now.

I am very in tune with the spirit. That is something a few pastors noticed about me in the past yet no one even back in 2001-2007 knew what I was talking about. They never heard of anyone else having a Christian journey like mine. The pastors said most people accept Christ and don't think twice about how they feel or don't feel. They know God is with them and go say to day. That has never been me. Well yes I go day to day with God but I always felt something, had something there holding me. How do I go from receiving a heavy and light lifting for 10 yrs, to absolutely nothing at all?? How? How do I stay faithful this way? I have no clue. I am completely totally lost at this point.

Even when I had the lifted feeling, did I feel God always answering me? No def not, however, being I was constantly lifted, it was still easy for me to turn to prayer any time of the day. Now it seems impossible.

I think everyone has a time or two or more when they feel like God has left our side or like he is no longer helping us. I have several times been discouraged by feeling like I have been left by God like he did not care... Even though I feel like he has left me kind of high and dry so to speak I always remember that God does not always give us clear answers to things first and foremost. He does not always fix problems and struggles we are having... Sometimes God leaves it up to us.. Here is an anology for you... I heard this watching a very good pastor on t.v. he said there were really bad strorms in Texas and people were up on their houses praying for God to help them.. One Guy was on his house and a guy in a boat drove by and offered to help him the guy refused help he was waiting for God.. Another guy in a boat came by and offered the guy help he refused he said he was waiting on a clear answer from God. A third Guy came by on a boat and offered help the guy refused again waiting on God to give him a answer on what to do.. then several hours pass by the guy on the roof of his house is desperate he Gets mad at God yelling at him why are you not helping me God.... God finally says back I did help you three times I sent you a boat and you refused to go in the boat.... Moral of the story is don't miss your boat thinking the answer is going to be more clear. sometimes God send subtle help our way and we totally miss it because we are looking for the big clear answer.... I know your age group it is very hard to be a Christian. All I can tell you is one most of the people you see in school everyday you will never see after you graduate.. two tings will get easier. three I recommend read in your bible looking for some answers to your troubles and questions you have for God. The devil walks the earth everyday looking to pull you away from God he makes sinful things look like fun and he also does a great job with temptation of the soul of Christians. You have to decide if you still want to walk with God or if you want to try temptation and risk it. I will pray for you that you find peace and you realize that even though it is tough now that you can be alright..

Hi ManiaStar...Do you know when we start our walk with God, He treats us like babies, He lets us drink our milk as we learn to sit, then we are given meat to chew while it strengthens us to stand, then we lose our milk and walk while we eat and devour our meat...Along the way from the start of our journey, God starts us off with little trials to test our faith in Him, when we prove ourselves He brings us bigger trials etc, i am wondering if He is testing you with something big to see how you put your trust in Him, who knows only God could have something He wants to use you for in the near future and maybe thats why He is testing your faith, He knows your heart, He knows you love Him, no doubt you have shown Him this over the years, maybe this is your biggie, Hold on my dearest sister, our journey is a bumpy one with many hills and mountains, but there is always light at the top :). And remember, no matter how long each and every single one of us have been walking with the Lord, that evil one is crouching ready to pounce and snatch...xox...

i understand what you're saying. This is the hardest test I've faced so far and I Hate Hate HATE it. I'm having an extremely difficult time with it. I'm trying to be positive yet it's so not easy. Both yesterday and today I've been crying on n off bc this is so hard. I just don't know what to do anymore or how to do it. I feel like giving up and calling it quits. I don't know how everyone else can do this without a problem, without thinking twice, yet it's completely stressing me out and I can't deal with it bc it's so difficult.

Listen...Why don`t you just lay every thing down, confess to God how you are feeling, tell Him the truth, hide nothing...Go and run yourself a nice hot bath, light a candle, treat yourself to some really nice bubbles, pamper yourself with some nice body lotion, dive into bed and switch off from everything, do what needs to be done in the day if you are working, on your dy off look after your own needs, God does not want us to neglect ourselves, he cares about your well fare...Watch movies on Youtube, stop searching in an empty hole, there is nothing down there :) take your eyes off your problems, then they wont seem so big, buy some mags and spend a whole day if not longer just doing nothing, God can not work through a burnt out mind, you know He is the lifter of our heads, you are not the first in His eyes to feel like this and you will not be the last, your in a valley, nothing wrong with that, some beautiful lakes in a valley, lush green grass, a nice quiet place to be, enjoy it, Jesus is in the valley with you, even if you can not feel Him He is there, stop pounding your brain, it must hurt big time, God gave us every day to rest, then use it and rest, that is what you need REST :)...xox...

If God is real, then what we feel about Him is meaningless. Even if we disbelieve, He still exists. Even if we denounce Him, He still exists. Even if we deny Him, He still exists.

Grab onto this and persevere as God said to. Regardless of our highs and lows of faith, He still exists.
