It's like they bypass the beginning of this site and fake themselves to be "real" people and naturally I get stuck being a victim of circumstance.
Meaning, they message me.. (randomly) and say "hi, I'm so-and-so, nice to meet you..." and blah, blah, blah.. and I fall for it every time! And become "friends" with them.. then either that day...or a few days later or weeks later; they are fake!
What is it? I don't understand why this happens all the time now when it rarely did. It's frustrating and my pregnancy hormones can't take it half the time.
Anyways, don't mind the rant... I'm just curious as to what has been going on.
Hi LittleBit1987, I'm sorry I can't help you with your dilemma. I do remember watching a program on the CBC regarding poor behaviour on the internet...the statistic they mentioned was 20% of all profiles are fake. I don't know what they get out of it either.
I do have a question. What does it mean to become a "friend" on this site? What can "friends" see that others cannot? I am asking because I received my first friend request and don't really understand what it is they are asking for...I'm just not familiar with much of anything but chat. Does it mean they would have access to personal information? Thanks.
Reborn, at least on Facebook I KNOW some of those folks either family or friends. I can handle Facebook cause I can tell who's fake and who's not.
On here, it's like a box of chocolates.... never know what you're gonna get, I don't have the time or the patience to deal with people who wanna play games or act like they wanna be my friend. Either you're legit or you're not. No in between..
Sorry...if this sounds rude but I'm tired of people playing games with me. I'm just done.

One thing that drives me crazy with PM's is, when someone only says one word in it: Hi, hey, hello... It's like, is that ALL you've gotta say to me? LOL
Seriously make it worth my time to read your PM. Make it at least a sentence or two, not just a stupid one word deal..
