Ok fine dagallen. So how do you know the angel of the Lord is an actually an angel like Michael or even Gabriel, because it says so in the text? There was a reason why I ask you to look up the Hebrew word for "angel" which is "malak." The word not only means a real angel but it also simply means "messenger."
Furthermore, it is the "CONTEXT" that determines which application applies, either angel or messenger. And it goes without saying that it is true that a real angel like Michael is also a messenger but a messenger is not necessarily an angel. A good example of what I'm talking about can be found at Malachi 3:1, "Behold, I am going to send My "malak/angel/messenger" and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the "malak/angel/messenger" of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, He is coming, says the Lord of hosts."
So who do you think is the person who cleared the way of the Lord which is Jesus Christ? Matthew 3:1-3, "Now in those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, saying, vs2, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." vs3, For this is the one referred to by Isaiah the prophet saying, "The Voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make read the way of the Lord, Make His paths straight."
So you see dagallen, the word angel does not always mean an actual angel like you think or even how bronson the Jw thinks and "assumes." So, I'll ask you again regarding Genesis 17:1,2 who appeared to Abraham claiming to be the Lord God Almighty?
IN THE ANGEL OF THE LORD,
