Christ saves us through faith based on the merits of His finished work of redemption "alone" and not based on the merits of our works.

It is through faith "in Christ alone" (and not by the merits of our works) that we are justified on account of Christ (Romans 3:24; 5:1; 5:9); yet the faith that justifies is never alone (solitary, unfruitful, barren) if it is genuine (James 2:14-24). *Perfect Harmony.*

Agree or disagree?
I agree. But whenever I say this I get called a 'works salvationist', and it doesn't get any 'likes' from the people who like your posts, lol. Go figure.

My conscience is never clear before God. I could barely make such a statement let alone believe it

I am thankful then that I have the righteousness of Christ, because mine are as filthy rags:(

Oh my.. to have a conscience clear before GOD means you have done nothing with evil intent... if I have shared something not in love for Him but to gain for self then I will be dealt with.

I hope to recieve the Royal pardon.. that The Messiah gives.. otherwise I'm condemned and have nothing.

This statement... gives me this feeling:(

All sins were forgiven at the cross, if you are a believer, you cannot be condemned. :D

Yes, many witnesses that can attest to what is said about you is true. I'm sorry you call me a liar.

Yes, always about how pure you are, something you deny you speak about, while still doing it. And then show contempt for others while doing so. Luke 18:9-14 on display? Yes, most certainly.

Time will prove that this "truth" always points to you.

Easy for you to claim glory to Him, yet, your posts which precede and follow paint a differing picture.

I ask you to take it to the altar..

you are making a display and you are entitled to lie and accuse but neither you I can judge.

Oh please get a grip.... if you share what is written because you believe it.. you are not boasting but relaying the message.. I have made no such claims... such deception..

You have become deceptive to please men.. shame on you eg.....
deceptive?

deceptive are the people who declair works are required to be saved, then deny it.

People who love God and are made children of God do not need to boast of works, or talk about them their work speaks for themselves.

I see that you dodged my question with another question. hmm...

Are you asking me where the line in the sand is drawn between believers and unbelievers?

Believers "believe in Him" (not merely in His existence, but also trust in Him alone for salvation) and unbelievers do not believe in Him/do not trust in Him alone for salvation (John 3:18).

Amen

he who believes is Not condemned.

he who who does not believe is condemned already.

The dividing line is not works, not how good or how bad you are (no one is God enough)

The dividing lines do you have true faith, or do you fit in the category which fits between no belief at all up to pseudo faith (mere belief) which is no faith at all.

It's very easy to quote a book over the Bible, isn't it?
I quoted Scripture reference as well, obviously you dismiss this so you can conveniently misrepresent while attempting to draw a dark picture? Yes, that would be a proper description.

Yes, I did allude to a book that describes you and your tribe, written by a godly man John Bunyan. Have you read it?

His allegory rings true today - there will always be grace killers such as yourself who despise others and talk about themselves while attempting to derail those on the true path onto a path of works and self.

Your long diatribe and definitions list &c is unneeded so it has been snipped off. All it does is show that perseverance of faith is true, that OSAS is true, that God will perform His good work in all His converted to the end. Yet, all you can see in that is you which is remarkable and sad to witness. We all get what "through" means. To you "through" means something different; it means you're saved by what you do - we get it. Thus you really don't know what the word even means.

Fact: Rarely, if ever, do you glory in what Christ has wrought.

Your entire M.O. is to show contempt for others, name call, ridicule, sow discord, cause division, attempt to get others off the right path, and imply that you are of good works, and that others are lost.

You are insulting good Church going folks around the world - nobody believes "By Grace you are saved," means to sit and do nothing. Your statement sounds like a broken record from the people who want to justify themselves. Foolish nonsense.
This is an odd statement.

Is it an insult to warn people that to know Christ is to follow Him, or to encourage
people to walk in His ways and know His words ministering to ones heart?

If you say one is an enemy to preach the very things Jesus preached, you have
made God your enemy.

If you read Paul, he is continually encouraging the believers to walk in the Spirit and
to repent of their sin. As is obvious many people do hold on to incorrect theology and
ideas so we should embrace those who wish to encourage us to walk well with the Lord.

Works are required.. because Faith without works is dead.. Saved by Grace through Faith unto good works.. so no works would indicate no Faith...

A Faithful servant must obey.. was he made a servant by His work.. or did the Master make Him a servant unto good works?

boast of works... my list of good work?

...if you are a believer, you cannot be condemned. :D
...unless you stop believing in a willful return to sin. Hebrews 10 makes this very clear:

"10By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

23Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,25not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another;and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

26For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THEFURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES. 28Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30For we know Him who said, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY.” And again, “THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE.” 31It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God."

(Hebrews 10:10,23-31 NASB)

Only God can decide that.

I am not worthy, No one is. Even paul declared himself unworthy.

If anyone thinks their worthy, They have major issues. One, is they have not been "broken" to the point they have been made "poor in spirit" for one must become "poor in spirit" to enter the kingdom of God.

Now. Go look up the greek word for poor in spirit. Most people miss out what it actually means.. It does not mean just to be poor. it goes far deeper than that.

Yes, she sees herself as earning what she calls a Royal Pardon. She see herself as pure. She is trying to earn her way in -- descriptive of the characters Christian met along the way...

Sad indeed to behold this.

...and your work will be the evidence Jesus uses to show that you possess the efficacy of Jesus' work on the cross. That's what it means to be justified by works. Justified has two meanings: to make one righteous (the way Paul uses the word), and to show one to be righteous (the way James uses the word). You MUST be justified both ways to be saved on the Day of Wrath. I don't see how you can disagree with this since you 'liked' mailmandan's post #29886.

Faith makes you righteous. Works show you to have that righteousness. But many church folk are gambling that they can get to the Judgment with only the former (the 'faith' of demons--mere mental ascent to who Christ is) without the latter, the proof of saving faith, and Christ will usher them into the kingdom with the sheep. 'Taint gonna happen, folks. Don't be deceived. Get the faith that works. That's the faith that saves all by itself apart from works.
