Hey bro, no problems, I see what your saying

to me when jesus said feed my sheep, he was telling him, I have forgiven you, now go work, (if he had not yet f Given him or needed Peter to make up for it he would have sad so at least to me before he would send him out to lead a church)

the final Phileo example to me speaks even greater, Peter felt so bad he could not even say agape, (godly sorrow) Jesus said that's fine, even if you can't say that I need you anyway, go do the work I give you,

does that that make Sense?
Yep it does.
I think when Jesus said "Feed my sheep" Peter knew he was forgiven
I also think Jesus was stretching Peter from Phileo to Agape but knowing Peter would grow into Agape Love.

Like we do in our walk as well.

Ps, thanks for knowing that I wasn't going at you

yes, and Jesus knew what Peter needed to grow to agape, like he does us all,

thanks for not just assuming and asking the question,

then show some. reference some. you, peterjens, and a couple more say this very often, yet do not show any proof. if they are so many on " our side " ( we are not a side, we just do not have agendas ), saying that sin is no big deal, behavior does not matter, righteous living is not important, then point them out directly. if not, perhaps you should stop bearing false witness??

They don't have any proof bro.

Revelation 14

9
And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

13And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

For all those willing to believe the Scriptures page upon page, precept upon precept.. The Word mixed with Faith profits.

As I watch this thread, I think I see another member being staged for banning to make a group look good, & making another group look like a bunch of losers.

That's my opinion, & I'm entitled to it.

You don't have to believe it.

I'm not "prophesying" or anything.

Just watching.

Those "banned members" all do the same thing: become popular & believable, then out of nowhere go off on the other side, pulling out all the stops.

This happens over & over, like a cheap soap opera. ISIT was the last one before FranC, I recall.

Since they can't win their argument without evidence, they create a scapegoat to take the fall, only simulating a victory.

It's my guess that the banned members come back on under a new name & the charade starts all over again.

In the meantime, more false teachers join CC & help to poison the flock. They will act nice & polite, get rooted as a nice person, & then use that influence against those looking for salvation & the righteous.

This has been happening since Paul's departure in the world, but now we see it on the internet.

Acts 20
25“And now, behold, I know that all of you, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom, will no longer see my face. 26“Therefore, I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. 27“For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God. 28“Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. 29I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; 30and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.

A christian chat site is the perfect place to perform such evil, seeing that we don't have a single clue who anyone is, and nobody can really throw or keep the wicked out.

Since a chat site IS the perfect place, one can only assume that savage wolves are here.

Satan's not stupid to miss such an opportunity.

Greetings Megiddo; the Greek word is "logizomai"; means to be justified by God....it's root is logos "the word", meaning the logical, reasoning, sound mind of God..."Imputed" is a fancy twisted Latin term forced upon the text by religious layers in the 15th century, having nothing to do with the true meaning of "logizomai". Our good works done in faith are reckoned (justified by God's sound reasoning and logic) to be righteous in His presence. Faithfulness to God is reckoned/numbered among to be as righteousness.....steadfast obedient believers are "logizomia" numbered among the righteous, and sinners are numbered among the wicked all through the scriptures...

God engrafted in every man that very same logical ability to reason with HIM; for He was the light that lighteth every man that cometh into the world, (the light of conscience), therefore scarlet sinners are able to reason together with God in a season of godly sorrow, coming clean with Him in repentance, thus having his sins of scarlet made to be as white as snow Isaiah, 1-18......keep up the contending for the truth and blessed always
The light of conscience? Never heard this before. Which part of the triune being would be our conscience?

My friend Jesus can truly say who He knows and acknowledges and who He does not.
Just look at church history. It is littered with people who claim to know Jesus and even
kill on His behalf. I know many who stand up and say "Thus says the Lord"..... and the rest
is from their own imaginations.

Jesus said among us the enemy will sow weeds. But to weed out the bad from the good
would damage the good, so He will not do this. So Jesus is testifying that in the same group
there will be those who truly know the King and He knows them and those who do not. And
it does not matter, because we are told how to behave towards everyone and unless there
is obvious sin, to treat each brother and sister as a blessing and gift from God.

Some appear though to be bigger than God and want to actively weed out people they label
as evil and wrong, who are going to hell and leading others to hell ( quote of actual words used ).

I have led people to Christ who I would just rejoice with, that in their weakness God has moved in
their hearts. If I can I want to encourage them, but unless it is obvious heresy, I would just
encourage.

So this animosity and division by some, and teaching which condemns believers as anti-Christ is
heresy, because it has no theological foundation, but is extra-biblical interpretation and mystical
beliefs in what it means to be born again, which contradict the teaching of Jesus, and the apostles.

It is amazing that still the same empty arguments are brought forward which have been shown to be
empty, yet the actual theology and concepts are avoided, because the emotional need is stronger
than the truth.

Put simply you either are in the Kingdom and walk in Jesus's ways or not.
Peter

What does it mean to you that one is born again? I ask because you mention mystical beliefs and I wonder what they are too?

This is false teaching with no biblical proof.
Spiritual warfare is a big struggle for a christian to pray, believe, refusing temptation, rebuking the Devil, etc.
Obedience is faithful works..... not sitting on our backsides saying "I believe"

Here's the thing..... why wouldn't those that "scrutinize" others post for innaccuracies let such deliberate heresy slide right on by?

(Hint, hint) Because they're on the same side.
I would say that we war out of His rest. That is sitting down in His Victory but then standing against the enemy. I think Grace knows this.

There's many situations of life where we war against them knowing the perfect will of God. With the truth.

That's what you said too, right?

My mind looks at it as...salvation IS relationship. You can't get any more intimate than His seed being in you. You can grow in intimacy, but...
We can be saved Stunned, but being one with Him is sort of a revelation. At least it was to me. It's when we know that we are Spirit to Spirit and never separate. I still have to use the scripture for understanding...we live and move and have our being in Him.

One.

These are words of encouragement and communion with the Lord.
It is not more than this, for to have communion with God is a privilege given to us because of
the cross and Christs work, and our faith in Him.
I would consider this to be a non answer since you could say this about any scripture. Will let it drop if you do.

Being born again of the Holy Spirit of God is a supernatural occurrence, for the working of the Holy Spirit of God is not of the natural world, and that is a solid Biblical Truth, so I don't understand why anyone would try to talk down to it if they call themselves a Christian. On the one hand, you say it is heresy to condemn others, while on the other hand you condemn others. I wonder if you will ever see it.

Nope the Sabbath is not required to be saved....

Now time for you to answer and not avoid....

How much do you need to backslide to keep your salvation?
Does not matter....the Prodigal backslid to the point of wallowing with the hogs and yet was a son through the whole process and very much alive although presumed dead....If you say he lost it it and came back as was re- saved.....this denies Hebrews which states it is impossible.......

Where is the word destroyer used at anywhere in John 10?

Why must you add things to your own commentary and then state I said them, when I did not say them?...I never used the word destroyer....and this word is never used in John 10...you added the word.

Bible scholars know this about John 9.40-John 10.21:

They know who Jesus was talking to.

They know why Jesus was saying what he was.

They know what Jesus was saying to who he was talking to.

They know how the passage is properly interpreted in light of Jesus own words.

I did say that religion is the thief and it is quite evident to serious students of the bible that is what it means....

You are discredited again for stating I said something[the word destroyer] I never stated..

Only someone with serious anger management issues and on a quest to steal, kill and destroy someone would revert to digging up past posts to use against another....the spirit of religion on you seeks to steal, kill and destroy...you should seek help...

BTW, thank you for allowing yourself to be a real world example of what Jesus was saying in John 9.40-John 10.21...I am sure many will be blessed by your example of what not to be...
I think you have a point Meggido. Magenta, I too thought it was satan but its not diabolos in greek..

The Greek word for knew in Matt 7:21- is ἔγνων (egnōn).

Here's the occurrences in Scripture of the exact word here:
Greek Concordance: ἔγνων (egnōn) -- 6 Occurrences

You'll notice that this word is actually for perceive, aware, etc.

Jesus actually uses this word when He's says He knew power had come out of Him.

Once again what I believe the key of Matt 7:21- is the focus...

Lord, Lord... didn't we DO [these things] in Your Name?

All these things are things that APPEAR to be righteous.

He replies, "Depart from Me you who practice iniquity... I never knew you."

Is our focus on our own works (and our DOINGs) or is it on Him and relationship?

Is He truly our Vine? Do we believe apart from Him we can do NO THING?
Amen Cee....they were never saved to beging with and then lost it...the problem was the root...they trusted into a false gospel of works just as the 1st false teacher Cain.......
