Yep you are just just like him you refuse to admit when you made an error in judgment, I already proved the thief statement was in regulars to what I said, but as usual, you two just have for some reason to think you need to attack,

the only person who matter is the is the one I originally wrote my post to, and we have as true believers in Christ set aside our pride we're able to resolve the issue, you two? Still refuse to do anything but defend yourself, then want to blame me,

consider yourself on ignore with him.

Didn't we thresh that out not too long ago EG as to who the thief is?

And found out it's the false prophet..

Scofield? I've heard bad things about Scofield...like don't buy it. lol Not sure why though. might have something to do with the rapture?
But it comes with the chain smokers reference to ease their anxiety about getting caught up with their pants down....

You're not hearing the argument. In non-OSAS you are most certainly saved and born again and have eternal life when you believe. You have the promise now. The point is, you must continue to believe in order to continue to possess the salvation you most surely have as a result of that believing.
I am hearing the argument. I don't think you're understanding my point of view.

Let me rephrase it:

If you have to "continually believe". How are you a new creation? You don't fully possess it. You are still trying to fully possess it by believing until you "die".

If you have to "continually believe". The focus is on you. It's not on the goodness of God that continually leads you to Him. It's not on the Spirit who is your Teacher. And it's not on the finished work of the cross. Part of "believing" is believing that God will save you to the end. And because you are a new creation, you also have permission to believe you will do good works out of who you are in Christ.

If you have to "continually believe". You are waiting till the end of your life to fully receive "eternal life". You haven't "yet" passed from death to life, but you're hoping you will. You can't have faith for something you don't believe you possess in the Spirit. Part of faith is believing God is a "Rewarder" for those who seek Him. Are you believing God for the reward of giving you a gift that you'll receive if you continually believe, but if you don't you won't?

Furthermore, let me just ask you this. Does your theology help people follow the Spirit of God? Do you follow Him? Do you talk to Him, listen to Him, and trust Him? Do you believe you are fully and completely loved? Does He give you revelation when you read His Scripture and bring the page to life for you? Do you identify more with who you in the Spirit or in the flesh? If it's working for you, then by all means, continue on. But if not, just know there is another side.

If you're afraid to believe you might be "eternally saved" because why then would you continue in good works, then I wonder if you truly know how good God is. And if you're not afraid you won't continue in good works, why be afraid others won't continue in good works as well?

Hi Banks!

Yes, I do think that's part of discipleship. We are lead by the Spirit ourselves and overtime people see what's possible for them. This is part of the gospel. The goodness of God being displayed through our lives is the Spirit of Christ that's available to them through our testimony.

Hi,
What does "non-OSAS" mean?

I find it hard to imagine that people who believe, could suddenly one day not or rather stop believing?
Perhaps they still believe but have strayed off their path with God and no longer make their relationship with Him the centre of their lives. Either way belief is belief, and God never takes things away from us...

#Cee, would you agree that there are a few people who have not yet received the gift of the spirit? I ask because I myself used to struggle with confidence that I have the Spirit. It took me a long time to realize I did have it and to feel confident with it... ?

When you try to memorize scripture if you do that is, can you remember in other translations? For it's this KJV that wells up out of my heart.
In one of the groups I study with, we each read from different translations. We recently came across a gross error in one of the texts, where Israel was supposed to have been to subject matter, but Isaac's name was given instead. One has to wonder where the proof readers and editors were for that one...

I have no idea what you just posted. lol

But, I do have a question. When you try to memorize scripture if you do that is, can you remember in other translations? For it's this KJV that wells up out of my heart.

Am I the only one?
things i have memorized are mostly KJV or NIV, which i attribute to having grown up reading primarily these two versions.
some other verses i know by heart are in other versions for various reasons, for example i know them in the form of a song, and whoever it was that set it to music used a different translation.

i don't think it has anything to do with "
KJV" being somehow preferable or perfect: it's a matter of familiarity. i really doubt that anyone who has never read the Bible in that particular translation ever has the KJV text "welling up in their heart" -- would that count as speaking in tongues lol? you have primarily read KJV; KJV is what you primarily have committed to memory.

if anyone knows of examples where a person who has never read the KJV Bible starts literally quoting the KJV without aid, i'd like to hear about it.

What if people were calling you a heretic because they didn't interpret Scripture like you did?

How would you want to be treated?

you do know you sound exactly like grace7?

exactly

like

him

that's too much

follow the word of God. EXPOSE false teaching and not everyone is a heretic

not at all

and defending those who are, by saying everyone is a heretic to someone, is nonsense and proves absolutely nothing

no love is not lost. love is working hard to expose error. that is what the devil actually hates

it is so lame to say that those who expose the heretical teaching have no love. that is a statement that has deception at its heart

Yes, but in this context, Megiddo used it in reference to what I said, and 7seas, used it to further justify what meggido said,

hey are not fooling anyone
