The angels had a choice, because if that was not true,Lucifer would of never been able to rebel.
Nobody tempted Lucifer, but it came from him, which he was created perfect in his ways, until iniquity was found in him.
If the angels had a choice, then why not people having a choice, and that is because God's kingdom is love.
God said for the bishops to not get lifted up in pride,or else they will fall in to the same condemnation of the devil, and obviously the bishops would be saved initially if they did get lifted up in pride, and gives a warning to them, but if they can never fall why the warning.
Why the warnings in the Bible if it is not possible that the saints can fall if they do not take care to do right.
So that means that sin does affect our relationship with God,and a person that was saved can fall, and be back in an unsaved position if they do not give heed to the truth.
In Revelation Jesus addressed one Church that they left their first love, and were fallen, and to repent, and do the first works,or Jesus would go against them, and another Church Jesus did not find their works perfect before God,and to repent,or Jesus would go against them.
If a person does not continue in the goodness of God,they will be cut off.
The Lord knows them that are His,having this Seal, that those the name the name of Christ depart from iniquity, and awake to righteousness, and sin not,but not all have the knowledge of God,and Paul speaks that to their shame, and do not depart from the living God by the deceitfulness of sin.
But there are millions of people that claim Christ, and say they cannot fall, that live worldly, and hold unto sin,and think they are alright with God,which you can observe them in society, that heap money, and material things to themselves, and enjoy worldliness, while there are people in need, catering to their lusts, and wants, and more time is for their life than the kingdom of God,which they are lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.
2Pe 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
2Pe 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
These people were once saved for they escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, but they went back to enjoying the things of the world, and left the holy commandment delivered unto them.
But some that confessed Christ, and say they cannot fall, did not even go that far as to get rid of all worldliness to begin with, but they thought they were alright despite their sins.
Jesus said thy will be done on earth,as it is in heaven, and the angels are not in heaven sinning, and the ones that did are no longer there,so it is on earth, that if a person that claims Christ, but wants to hold unto sin thinking they are alright with God,will fall in to the same condemnation of the devil, and the Bible gives warnings that a saint can fall if they do not take heed to do what it right.
They say faith alone, and all they have to do is confess Christ, for that is what the Bible says, but do not understand the conditions that go along with them, which it should be a given that the conditions are to abstain from sin by the Spirit, and do works of the Spirit, which the Bible says it is so.
Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, and stop playing around, for you have responsibility to do what is right, for the Spirit will not twist your arm to live for God,and some do not make the grade because they do not want to get rid of the worldly ways.
1Co 9:26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
1Co 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Castaway
adokimos
ad-ok'-ee-mos
From G1 (as a negative particle) and G1384; unapproved, that is, rejected; by implication worthless (literally or morally): - castaway, rejected, reprobate.
